Ranked Excluded from Combat Missions

For all 3 missions listed in this week's ship log, ranked does not count towards progress for any of them.

This is weird. Ranked is a PvP game mode, I thought WG always encourages more people to play those?

Granted, they are easy to complete in other modes (including PVE coop or ops) so not too much of a deal. Still, I wonder if they are tweaking something behind the scenes again. Yesterday, ranked did not count towards Battle Pass missions:

I wonder if the Randoms queue is in trouble. I personally have very little desire to play Randoms above tier VI since Airship Escort was added to the game mode. Perhaps there are others who feel the same way and with Ranked being tier VIII+ those players have migrated there.

It must have been a glitch, because ranked seems to be back now in all the missions.

Let’s see. Modicum of teamwork, personal skill matters more, more brawling, the rewards are all better than Randoms. You bet I still play Ranked.

You still get the same amount of XP as randoms, but since there are fewer players the matches end quicker. Therefore much better value for time. 

Also, no tier differential, less likely to encounter CVs or submarines. I see very little reason to enter the cesspool of randoms at all.

Especially when it's Sub-less and CV-less T9....  It would be the perfect tier if T9 cruisers weren't so under powered.

Unfortunately.... not even for that any more.... I have 90k and as a Cruiser/DD player, there's literally nothing left to buy... and nothing even in testing....

I play CB to get steel and have actuall team work in there unlike in "ranked" and also no toxic BS in chat... Additionally I am not forced to use overpowered ships that are not properly balanced for smaller teams if I want any chance of winning a match couse if you dont and enemy did you lost in MM

Btw smaller teams = less damage = less cash and XP, thats why WG gives the aditional rewards out to compensate for it

Only good points are that its usually single tiered and there are often no subs/cvs in it if odd tier is the single tier in that season

But I don't play Ranked either; and haven't since the format change.

Have always collected Steel by other means, and currently have 58k Steel.

Have several Steel ships, and don't recall even being so low on Steel I was worried about it.

As they tighten the screws on the user base, I expect that to change.

They currently have salvage for victory event in the armory. They wouldn't be trying to get people to burn resources unless they were planning on making said resources less plentiful.

A fair point.

Thing is; the first salvage I was fine with the ship, the current salvage I'm not; and haven't bothered.

I might qualify as one of those folks WG is trying to drain resources from; but I really haven't given much of a damn what they thought since 0.8.0.

I'll do what I want. They'll get my resources when I decide; not just because they dangle a few pretties.

Horrible players endlessly queuing in Ranked to farm Steel are why I quit Ranked.

Update: After the new missions were released today, the issue has finally been fixed. Ranked now counts towards progress for all combat missions.

I am surprised WG bothered with this, last patch the "auto select Randoms after Brawl" persisted the entire 4 weeks. (that is also now fixed, if anyone is wondering)
