Enough with the acronyms!

For the sake of new users, please stop with the acronyms, if you mean a coop or a random battle please say that. Frankly, it's a wonder how anyone can make sense of these "forums"

I am guessing they mean PVE and PVP as the main complaint? But I don't get it if that is what they mean. These are generally excepted across the gaming world...

  • PVE = vs bots/AI
  • PVP = vs humans.

I am not a huge gamer but even I know that.

The only other things I can think of would be abbreviations for nations like the examples below...

  • US or USN = United States (United States Navy)
  • KM = Germany
    • WW1 = Imperial German Navy (Kaiserliche Marine)
    • WW2 = German Navy (Kriegsmarine)
  • IJN = Japan (Imperial Japanese Navy)

...or maybe ship types?...

  • CV = Aircraft Carrier
  • BB = Battleship
  • BC/CC = Battlecruiser
  • CB = Large Cruiser (something like Alaska, Puerto Rico, etc...)
  • CA - Heavy Cruiser
  • CL = Light Cruiser
  • DD - Destroyer
  • Sub/SuperShip = SS

I mean I get it someone may not know all of these abbreviations/acronyms and such but typing out Heavy Cruiser or Imperial Japanes Navy vs CA and IJN is just not worth it. If someone doesn't know just ask it's not hard to do and plenty of folks will answer and help.

Excuse me. Is the O.P. a F.N.G? Seeing as how the O.P. is such a V.I.P., shouldn't we keep the F.I.O. on the Q.T.? 'Cause if it leaks to the W.G. he could end up M.I.A., and then we'd all be put on K.P.

We could compile a huge list, because there are also the various forms of national designations....

HMS (for RN)

HMAS (for RAN)

HMCS (for RCN)

HMNZS (for RNZN)

HJMS (for IJN)

JS (for JMSDF)

USS (for USN)

SMS (for Kaiserliche Marine)

HMS (for Swedish Navy)

This list is probably nowhere near exhaustive either. The worlds many navies are bristling with acronyms, and here we bring those together with those of the gaming world.

The list would need a forum all of its own it would be so big LOL.
