I try to keep playing High Tier Randoms but.....

3 times in a row playing the BLIMP game by surprise with the WRONG SHIPS is just too much.

But some spreadsheet somewhere is saying I LOVE IT!

Time to go Clubbing I guess.

WG did that.

That is all

Update... Tried T-10 and 9 before signing off.  FOUR OF THE SIX GAMES WERE BLIMP.

Clubbing is my response when the WG casino keeps trying to screw me over...

Mikasa games if I'm feeling particularly grumpy.

Yes, the Mikasa is hilarious and can put a smile on even the grumpiest of faces.

However, the young players recently graduated from protected matchmaking are no longer down in the lower tiers sailing their Mikasas, Bogatyrs and Nassaus.

They are up in the higher tiers, running around in their Bismarcks, their Alaskas an their Pommerns. They might not yet know what hydro or radar are, or have really grasped the mechanics of the game. But there they are - in numbers.

Tiers 8 to 10 is where the really heavy-duty seal-clubbing takes place these days, not tiers 1 to 4.

If you really want to club baby seals, go up the tier ladder, not down.

Doubt.

There are plenty of seals in the lower and mid tiers.

Statistically, you may well be right, that there are still more seals in lower and mid tiers. The point of my last post - somewhat tongue in cheek -  is the relentless migration of seals towards the higher tiers, encouraged by easy availability of higher-tier premiums and the prevalent notion that 'higher' somehow means 'better'.

I was knocking off anniversary flakes with my tier 10 CVs...and my God was this post right...

Three easy wins this afternoon with barely much effort...

CVs are so OP to start with...and then when the enemy is unskilled, even easier.

Low tiers are a good mix of bots a few newer players and a pretty big group of hardcore ,low tier players. It's a good mix and there are many close games with great match ups between good players. You see the same guys most nights. Sometimes they are on your team, sometimes not. I'm having more fun with the game then ever just sticking to tiers 2, 3 and 4.

I saw far worse players at Tier 10 than I do at low tiers. Poor players at low tiers at least are willing to learn. Poor players at tier 10 think they know everything and tend to be toxic.

T10 is the seal clubbing tier, so many rush up to it and hove no clue how to play yet, so its a very sweet kill with torps for a bb str8 lining it for ages, you know they are dumb

What server are you on?

This is not my experience...but that's part of the charm...each region can be different. Heck, even different time slots have different cultures within a region.

NA....Just like so far tonight. 3 close games. Lost last one to a duel between my Indefatigable and a Wickes clubber with 1500 games in Wickes. There are a lot of those guys with many thousands of games in just one ship. They know every nuance of the ship and every corner of the maps because they play them over and over and over.  Low tier games are usually clear up the bots then a tough battle between a few humans. Kind of like low tier brawls.

I'd have to imagine new players that don't just buy higher tier ships immediately must be hardened like diamonds. They have to endure unicum seal clubbers, 2 cv + sub at T4/T5+ for awhile. Impressive or insane determination.

It depends what you find enjoyable. T5s will certainly meet subs at times, but not T4s, which will never meet T6s.  Double T4 CV games are not uncommon and can be unpleasant. However, there are some T3 and T4 ships that have sufficient AA that they will be targeted less often. For example, von der Tann and Java at T3 have almost reasonable AA. while at T4, Wyoming, Orion and Kaiser along with de Ruyter are some of the stronger AA ships.

And this is why I’m staying away from Randoms for a while (and my Randoms play has already been steadily reducing each month for quite a while). Maybe if enough like-minded players do the same the devs will reduce the frequency of said battles to a more tolerable level. It’s bad enough that we have to put up with Arms Race in high tier Randoms.

As a new player, you still have to run through those low/mid tier bracket as you grind up the lines.

Well many of nice historical hips are in low/mid tiers. During my 5 reset RN Battlecruiser line I started on Indefatigable T3 (freeXp to that ship) all times. There the real ships are T3-6 and I find them all OK, the low tiers are just a few games. It is pretty fun in that dosage.

Im not talking about that. Pay attention to the discussion.

A new player will run through those tiers and experience what I said. Unless they buy past it.

Indeed. We are a rare breed.

We actually ENJOY the lower tiers, as it is where the game is most fun.

Personally, I think the game peaks around tier 7 or 8, and goes downhill from there.

Funny tonight, had a T5 game while playing Danae. I was only T4 on team, another T4 player I've seen numerous times had Duguay on red team. These T5 guys were obviously just there to blow off snowflakes and were playing like they were T10, hanging back, trying to snipe etc. Us two T4 players were top of the leaderboards for our respective teams. The high tier play style is boring and slow, they depend on long range or gimmicks instead of good tactics.

I will respect your opinion on the topic Daniel, because I remember you on the WG forum started posting around the CV rework. So when you was a true noob you saw some unicums + cv nuttiness.
