Elli is a copy of the Duca D'Aosta and Dupleix is completely new. I'm certain both are on the weaker side, but Dupleix just offers something new. So what's your poison? No. One will be the premium battle pass prize in a future patch and the other will be sold at a future time. The contest determines which is which. Ensign Cthulhu Posted August 16, 2023 Share Posted August 16, 2023 I picked Elli on the strategic basis that EU doesn't have a cruiser at all yet and should get one, so that if you're retraining an EU commander you can do it while running cruiser missions, whereas France already has a premium cruiser at T6 even if it's a light cruiser and not a heavy like Dupleix. A while ago @Lord_Zath did some Twitch streams and sailed both ships in several battles. If you picked the losing team you will still get the portal token milestone rewards. The only thing you'll miss is the flag. It's just that they are broken AF. I was notified in-port of getting the flag. No rewards, no flag (don't remember which I picked honestly but think it was the French one), etc... Typical WG. The event ended Aug 31 and here we are on Sept 14 and people are as confused as ever and very few have received anything. Instead of the 2nd copy of the d'Aosta with absolutely nothing unique save the nationality going for it. To this I can only say: Hon hon hon!
