Stuff to do here - how can we help?!

Now that someone has started the forum 2.0, I only find it appropriate that we all chip in where we can.

For startes there still is a lot of usefull posts on the old forum (LWM* reviews, guides to playback, stuff like that) Should that be transfered by the forumnites now that were back in business, sort of. One could fear that WG decided to pull the plug on the original forum, now that there is a competitor outside their jurisdiction - so we might need to get a move on?

So if we are to move stuff, how to continue? Does anyone kind of marshall this process to ensure some sort of uniformity on the posts, guides, review etc.?

*) By design I haven't tagged her - can alter the post if/need/be.

@ZeuSueZ1337I can assure you that there are people working on your concerns - we have the same.  Regarding LWM reviews, please note The LittleWhiteMouse Collection - DevStrike! - a WoWs Community Forum has already been set up.  It will take time to get all those reviews up and running, but it will happen over time.  Regarding the many valuable guides from the old forum, that too is a key area (a priority) of DevStrike since the clock is ticking.  There are people here taking an "all hands on deck" approach.  In time, you should have the same/many of the reviews, guides, and tutorials that were familiar from the old forum.

Two things to consider:

  • WG may squawk "intellectual property" for any copy-pasting from original forum.
  • WG said original forum will be up until the end of OCT. The careful and considerate reader will have noticed the first two words of this consideration and recognize that if they see content from their dead forum moving here, they may alter their intended action.

Is this going to be the dedicated thread? The recovery project needs some sort of a permanent visible spot here on the forum.

In a little over mere 2 months' time, all we are going to have is this:

@theLaalaa & @Admiral_Karasu makes the points I was trying to adress; the clock is ticking and we might be fighting a loosing battle in respect to IP claimed by WG.
Just saw on LWM profile what we should ping her, therefor; @LittleWhiteMouse can we assume that you hold the original content for all your brilliant ship reviews, thus we might not need to pull them from the original forum?

That would make the overall operation quite different in terms of how fast we need to exceute.

@theLaalaayour two things to consider have been discussed.  All possible considerations - working with, contacting original authors directly, etc. are on the table and being pursued actively.  In doing so, we hope not to alter any ones "intended action" as you put it.

Please check the DiB for important news on this topic.

As I have yet to hear from WoWs, this is the best plan of action, and as @Admiral_Karasu points out, the clock is ticking.

We have CM go-ahead to copy paste articles, though I have also requested that in writing.

LWM is going to handle her own reviews.

LWM is good to go, albeit it isn’t “prettified” guides atm.
