Would you like a transparent minimap? Here's how!

There is a setting for that in Vanilla World of warships!

Once you are in battle, hold the control key down and click the gear on the right side above your minimap: this will let you set the transparency of your minimap:

Suddenly you can see what's going on AND aim at targets on the horizon moving to the left of your POV (without them being hidden behind the dang map)

I figure that if it took me more than 3 years to find this setting (and other folks in my clan didn't know it existed) then perhaps other folks might want a tutorial on where it's hidden.

The bonus tip for the day - if you want to flag somewhere on the map, hold down control and click the spot TWICE (once won't ping the map)
