Halloween

New operation (Last Chapter). You use your own Tier VIII-IX ships this time around, which will get special appearances and buffs.

IJN BBs

Normal stuff for an early access event, with permanent event camos. Tier VIII event permacamo will be available through a new themed collection.

Black Friday

Forumites, the joke is finally becoming reality.

Black Black is here at last.

New ships: Repulse B, Lazo B, Brandenburg B, Iwami B, Black B, and Smolensk B. Flags for each as expected, updated containers. Repulse B is not listed in the containers, so it may be a chain like Dunkerque and Shinonome were in previous years.

Yes, considering the list of ships that drops. I have 1 Black ship the Dunkerque. Will take any free container though, in 5000 years maybe I have a Smolensk B.

To be srious they look fine in Black, but as I have the original ships the wallet is closed , maybe if there as in the Dunkerque case are a ladder of things (Repulse B) that are cheap, for a few thousand doubloons.

In Coop Smolensk is excellent. It worked decent in Asymmetrical. I play it almost every day like Colbert. Burn baby burn! But in Coop for the sake of my fellow opponents health.

Selling via sequential bundle (that's definitely not going to be cheap) is very likely, but if WG really wants to sell it via auction they can just sell the original version.

WG really don't like selling ship directly these days, so many ships come with token/bundle or any crap like that and are not for sale for months to create another type of 'early access' event.

I can see this implemented on the live server. But then, I'm not expecting it, given how heavy Wargaming is on monetization.

There's no stopping Wargaming from doing it. If Musashi can be had at 40,000 (?) Doubloons, they sure can create an event that would generate more Doubloon sales for another pulled ship.

If this event follows the precedent set in previous years, the older Black Friday ships will also be available in some capacity in both the Armory/shop and containers. The biggest question is if they will all be availability individually or if we’ll be required to purchase a big bundle to get specific ships.

Brandenburg B, being one of this year’s new ships, will almost certainly be directly purchasable at a reduced price compared to Brandenburg. Smolensk B is going to be auctioned off for coal alongside Smolensk (for doubloons). 😆

This doesn’t really surprise me and is in line with everything else we have been seeing coming out of the old RU server. WG and Lesta are facing very different challenges and are adjusting their marketing and sales strategies appropriately. WG continues to focus on recouping the losses from having to cut the original game development studio loose, while the MK player population is in an even poorer state than WoWs’. Thus, WG continues full speed ahead with an aggressive monetization strategy, while Lesta continues to be more generous towards their players in an effort to boost player population/engagement.

Thanks for the update - took me a while to read this thread for some reason.

I don't know about the rest of you on the forum but, I am wondering if our host just recently watched "revenge of the clones?"  And, took the Title and created a new business process centered around "cloning everything..."   I mean to say that the Whales I know in the game can't not spend the second yet another round of "clones" is released....  Gosh, maybe they do need to issue Destroyer Escorts, Corvettes and PT/E boats too.......  Imagine the clones of those: PT-104B, 105R, 106G et cetera et cetera ad nauseam.
