Inflation is the reason for the up charging and also, maintaining the profit margins. In the end, this always fail... Inflation always win, when it does. Value goes down which benefits the bottom earners not, the profiteers. The system is in place for years (since the Federal Reserve act of 1913 in the US). Every country has a Federal Reserve System. While the effects of this process is global... In some areas, extremes are known to happen.
palestreamer
All due to inflation is a bit too simple. The following points make good business sense: ... strategic churn, or the intentional loss of poor-fit subscribers who drag down overall customer satisfaction, gross margins, and product development velocity ... ... not all customers are created equal ... By focusing on quality over quantity, subscription companies can tailor their offerings to cater to the needs of their most loyal and high-value customers. It’s about understanding that not every customer is meant to stay forever and letting go of those who no longer align with your strategic objectives.

ArIskandir
Interesting article. A thing to consider for WoWS is its F2P nature and its need to keep at least a minimum population level to guarantee MM to works properly. Anyway WoWS already did phase one 'strategic churn' when threw Low Tiers down the bus.

Funnily enough, the lower tiers are where one should play now, lol (especially to avoid the crap reworked CVs, Flubs & the continually new T10 barfs). 😁
