Do you have to purchase (with credits) the Tier 10 of a line before you can reset that line?

The answer is no. As soon as you have that sucker researched, you can punch the button again. Which is good if you're one of those people who plays through the line multiple times to stack reset points on the T10 before redeeming. Depending on which line it is, that alone saves you 20 million credits per regrind.

 

The other important thing to remember is that for lines with superships, the supership isn't affected by the reset.
