Not sure, but think WG is trying to figure out what demographic is playing their game. First time they have asked for my age in a survey.

They asked questions, and I think they may be looking to see if different age groups answered differently. If so, how many are in each age group, and do they have to change who they are trying to get to spend money on the game? By asking age it helps them get those answers. Now will players answer the age question truthfully?????

Just lie. Tell them you're a hundred years old or 5.

If they were serious about "really knowing" their player base, they would contract a third party to conduct such research. Even Fortune 100 companies don't do in-house demographic analysis. Asking about a player's age in a WG survey provides little insight into fully understanding their player base.

There is no way WG has such capabilities.

You underestimate their socialist heritage m8, in socialist and post-socialist societies when you work at some large entitiy (usually goverment owned but not exclusively so) its not imortant that you do some actual work, that you know how to do something or that you even know what are you actually even supposed to be doing on your workplace, its the APPEARANCE of you doing some work so you have something to present on a meeting...

In this case I reckon its just some "Excel office jockey" aka mid management that will compile some usless data to present at the "brainstorm meeting" or whatever even if they themnselves prob realise its poinless twaddle really but hey keeps the appereance they did something past month...

I agree, I was just making a broad statement about them asking. It kind of felt like they were looking for something, but what who knows.
