She has some serious cannons! She fired her entire Broadside in Gothenburg port when she arrived last summer, it echoed around the entire city.

Yo, you Swedes also had an East India Trading Co.!!!?

Here I was thinking you were focused on Baltic domination. I knew you did some trans-atlantic voyages but was not aware you were also engaged in the East India trading.

Full sail speed boost, most ships are limited by their engines this ship is only limited by the speed of the wind don't forget the 19xx refit that adds hydrofoils

Never mind the drag of water upon the hull.  😉

She's pumping a lot of water from her port-side aft, eh?

She rescued a yacht, too.

Quote

Götheborg of Sweden is a sailing replica of the Swedish East Indiaman Götheborg I, launched in 1738 (not to be confused with the larger Götheborg II built some decades later). All sailors survived[6] when the original ship sank off Gothenburg, Sweden, on 12 September 1745, while approaching the harbour on her return from a third voyage to China. Construction of the replica started in 1995, with the hull launched in 2003, and the rig fully tested for the first time in 2005. Much of the time was spent researching how to rebuild the replica. In 2008, Götheborg completed the first Baltic Sea Tour.[7] It is one of the world's largest operational wooden sailing ships.[8][9]

On 26 April 2023 the Götheborg effected a rescue at sea, coming to the aid of a yacht that had lost its rudder and was adrift.[10]

WG will pull a blueprint when the borgs went back to the past and armed this ship with laser cannons and force fields.

Yeah, it was quite a hilarious article about this in the papers where the owners of the yacht almost crapped their pants when after sending out a SOS suddenly what seemed like a Pirate ship out of "Pirates of the Carribean" suddenly showed up for the rescue. 🤣 Talk about getting a delightful story to tell at parties!

Right now, you have the chance to enlist on the ship as a volunteer to help get her ready for the summer season.
