The destroyers were so top-heavy that they almost capsized in the harbor. In order to make them usable the smokestacks had to be cut in half, several gun turrets removed, and a lot of the superstructure cut away. The wet part deals with bow design on ships like the Gneisenau and how some warships had a tendency to dip their bows so much that they went underwater.
