Kaga on Killer Whale.

For explanation, I started lately with playing CVs. Was pretty sceptical towards CV in general, but now I don't want to give up on them. This is the second time I had Kaga out in this lovely PVE mode, and I shall come back. It was a nice experience.

That's a good result ... my experience with carriers in scenarios is that the players that helm them are either really, really good or horrifically bad. I often cringe when I see a Tier 6 Independence on my team as I know the odds are he/she isn't going to much help to the team.

Thank you very much! I like to win no matter which mode I play. PvP or PvE, always full commitment and everything is about teamplay.

All the T6 CV's are a poor choice for T8 operations. But those players have to grind them somewhere. Randoms are not a good experience and co-op is even worse. My advice to T6 CV players is - pre drop early so you can fly again, and always spot for your team. Strike when you can, but don't make attacking your main focus. You won't survive the massed AA in most of the operations - until the bots are thinned right out.

Independence at least has some critical utility on a couple of the operations. Aegis - smoke screen the transports as they close on the exit zone. Raptor rescue - smoke screen Raptor and her entourage at the critical times to keep them from being shot at. Cherry Blossom - use your tactical squadrons to strike at the airfields (come at them from the side opposite those AA batteries). Killer Whale it's quite easy to get strikes through as the bots are often alone. Hermes is an utter hiding in waiting - spot always, smoke screen the cruisers from the 4 BB's at the start zone and sacrifice your planes if necessary to keep the DD's spotted at the end zone - force them to use their smoke early. Narai is a;so quite hard to do anything worthwhile as the bots are always in a group. You can get some hits in on the 5 transports and their escort DD if you go there early.

Independence has no smoke available, that comes first with Yorktown. The only thing that's pretty good on Independence are the tactical fighter planes. Utility isn't especially good or pronounced.

No smoke? Really? Dammit - and I played a few games too. My excuse is I am having this amazingly perfect forgettery. I think I only played it in co-op come to think of it. Definitely done a lot of operations in Yorktown.
