New random bundle in Armory appears to be a pretty good deal

It starts with "German Squadron containers" for 249 doubloons.  There are a host of other containers farther down the string (16 bundles in all), 10,000 coal, a super container, and the final bundle is a T8 premium ship container.

The cost of all bundles is 9,002 doubloons.

A Tier 8 ship in the Armory goes from 10,300-14,000 doubloons.

Not a bad deal, actually, if you are okay with a random T8 as your final prize.

Random bundles are here for people to get addicted to gamble.

Its something like when casino gives you 20 free spins, you get small amount of money which you think you can double up, but in the end you lose it and you lose even more thinking your luck will come back.

Just be advised if you have all the ships available from the various crates that can drop them in that bundle chain the compensation is NOT Doubloons other than from the SC and that amount is a joke. The various compensations would be...

• #1 German Squadron (standard) = 3000 FXP
• #4 Air Supply (standard) = 2500 FXP
• #6 SC = 1500 Doubloons (doesn't matter if it is T5 or T10 only 1500)
• #7 Firepower = 3000 RB Pts 
• #11 German Squadron (premium) = 35,000 FXP
• #16 T8 Premium Ship Crate = 16,500,000 Credits

So compensation is not very good for those with all the ships. I have all the ships and am passing on this. It's still a decent bundle but I am so tired of WG screwing people on duplicate ship compensation that I just don't do this stuff anymore. Instead of there being an incentive to buy because of fair and decent compensation WG basically says we don't want your money.

@Wulf_Ace  I pointed out the random aspect of the T8.  My point was, for the doubloon cost of this bundle, you are sure to get a T8 for less than you would pay in the Armory, and you get a lot of other content, also.  It is a pretty good deal because it IS a sure thing (except which specific T8 you get).

I avoid nearly all of WG's other random bundles because you aren't assured anything, or you have to pay a ludicrous amount for an early "privilege".

Spend your money or don't.  I am not trying to convince you to do something you don't want to do.  I'm just pointing out a deal that is (IMO) better than what WG usually offers.

No but the Tiger 59 is a tier 6 premium no and he is talking about tier 8 German premiums I believe. And if you have some of the tier 8 premiums already you narrow down the ship you might get .  So it might not be a bad deal.

Hard one to say, the T8 premium container covers a lot of ground, from carriers and subs that some people won't touch, to eternal jokes of premiums, to some of the best around. Since you don't get to choose you could easily spend all that for a premium you don't want to play at the end of the day. 

Then there is the question of what your focus is on and who is doing the buying. More than half the T8 premiums in the armory for example can be bought with a coupon for less than 9k doubloons. So if you are an occasional purchaser you will likely be better off just buying the t8 you want with a coupon and not trusting lady luck. If you constantly burn your coupon and then buy another premium in the same time period this deal might tickle your fancy. 

That being said I never really suggest paying for random chance, even aside from my personal attitude that any premium ship past t6 is horribly overpriced, if I were to pay $36 for something I would want to be certain of what I was getting for that money.

Yea unfortunately I have all the German squadron ships already which makes it not worth it due to the compensation rules.
