No it's not International Beer Day (First Friday of every August) or Beer Day Britain (15 June). In Bjórdagurinn aka Iceland, Beer Day is celebrated every year on March 1, honoring the elimination of the 74-year prohibition of beer. Prohibition lasted from January 1, 1915 to March 1, 1989. Any country that has a Beer Day Holiday is OK by me.  And for the USN, they have their own naval tradition for Beer Day.
