Leo_Apollo11
Hi all, Can some explain this? Are these all re-rolls or transfers (i.e. accounts having extremely low number of battles but having Tier X ships)? Brawl today (Tier X 5 vs. 5): Out of 10 players - 5 have Tier X ships and accounts with just few hundreds of battles (not even 500)... Or other special modes that aren't tracked, e.g. Asymmetric, airship escort. Tier 5 isn't hard to get through in co-op, then you can switch to operations to take you through tiers 6, 7 and 8, then airship or convoy up to T10. Also check their Ranked stats. I have checked ranked as well... just 1 player has significant number of battles... Type_93
Why is this an issue? I have an alt account with two lines to t10 and one at t8 with under 500 games in randoms and only the bare minimum in co-op. It’s easy if you grind. Daniel_Allan_Clark
People can buy their way to tier 10. It's the game.
Aethervox
WG allows this kind of player to exist - race to T10 with minimal battles. One wonders just how developed these ships really are. What equipment, what modules, how high the Cpt is in pts, even what flags are flown regularly?

Operations? 3 minutes ago, Daniel_Allan_Clark said: People can buy their way to tier 10. It's the game. But how? Is it possible to buy the "FreeXP" in any amount and then just unlocking the ships? Captain_Rawhide
I see allot of this these days. Never used to see it at all, but now WG encourages it. Log in, buy a tier ten and away you go. No skill required, just money.

There are no Tier 10 ships routinely available for a newcomer to buy. They would have to be in the game at precisely the right moment for one to be on sale as an introductory offer or collaboration, or as a Black Friday ship (easily identifiable, e.g. Yoshino B or Napoli B), and those occasions are few and far between.

thornzero
I noticed a lot of low game matches and low wr this brawl. Part of the reason is they would rather take low experience high tier ships to brawls where it is sort of a safe place to play and get experience [and decent rewards]. There is a lot of high match accounts 1o,ooo+ with abysmal win rates also. But when you check the 'ship' stats there is few or none in randoms. People want to play so they go to brawls. And the win rates are very similar within +/- 2% usually [because the mm squares up random wr in brawls]. And, the guys that hide their win rate actually reveal it in brawls because the average takes into account their wr and damage. So you know they are hiding for a reason. I mostly use potatoAlert. I find with the mm I play sort of okay, mostly 5o% and sometimes carry and sometimes not in DDs; mostly.
Daniel_Allan_Clark
There is no skill based matchmaking really in game... ...and the game has pay2advance as a core functionality of the business model. So it should be EXPECTED to be facing up against folks who don't have lots of experience in high tier ships. This is problem with the expectations of the opening poster...and not a problem with the other players or even WG staff.

SgtSpud1
My alt account has 155 battles and owns 2 tier 10 ships, 5 tier 9s and 5 tier 8s ..... 125 of the total battles were in Coop.
mashed68
That kurfurst is a coal ship. Be a whale. Buy a thousand crates. You might have enough coal for that ship now with zero games played.

Several well-known members here have lots of PVE matches and most of the ships but relatively few PVP matches. Of course, the Player in question could be a re-roll "whale" too. You can buy a tier-VIII Premium BB and quickly amass and convert enough free XP to go through the tech trees without actually playing the ships. Well, in that sense, the same way as when you pay for premium time, you are buying XP, but you still have to do the work yourself. I wonder, though, where the trend of 'paying not play' leads. But you can do the next best thing… buy a premium ship on Day 1, and every bit of Ship-ground-out XP is convertible directly to FXP at the going rate. Can even use it 1:1 for ECXP if desired.
