I reached a personal record in terms of Potential Damage again.

Early this month when the Bounty Hunt was still active, I broke my personal record again in terms of Potential Damage. With the Schlieffen, I managed to survive a division of composed of 2 Gouden Leeuw and 1 Republique. The Dutch cruisers seem to have the Unique Upgrade installed, given the amount and frequency of their airstrikes on my battleship right from the start.

I made 5,067,400 Potential Damage, 4 kills, and 2,231 Base XP. (Before this, my highest was with the Petropavlovsk, with 4,070,385 Potential Damage.)

Dodging those airstrikes was challenging. The Dutch cruisers were safe behind islands; and I knew their Republique, who was on open water, would certainly wreck my ship. I decided the best way to deal with the situation would be to keep moving between islands, and to hit their ships fast and hard. I eventually destroyed the two Dutch cruisers; one of them was close enough for a Close Quarters achievement.

There was this Decoy Mission Commemorative Achievement earned during the battle, which was nice to have, but I think it somehow pales in comparison to the fun and challenge that came with the potential damage record.

I wonder if I should open a Naval Gunnery school, so that people won't miss their shots so often?  😉

Its crazy how much potential damage can you farm if gouden leuwee are using planes on you
