Snargfargle
It was early morning, yesterday We battled well before the dawn And I’m sure you have enjoyed your play But your ship, it now is gone Some say "CV's, they're a hassle" Other’s throw each ship its bone But for you the game is over So you must be moving on Now, I don’t believe that “sky cancer” Is the undisputed truth I tend to let most do their thing If you want to know the truth But like a mouth that has a canker CV’s can really be a pain Just the thought of those Slim Shadies Sends a shiver through some veins Without CVs, they'd be gloating They think their ship’s paint would shine like new They would never look up at the sky Their troubles would be few Goodbye CV, it's been nice Look’s like you rolled, the wrong dice Hard to see your point of view Hope you’ll scream ‘til you are blue Goodbye Lexi, and your planes Will we ever play again? If we do, I’ll send you down in flames Come tomorrow, I’ll be here again The Massachusetts, it’s the ship for me Someone gave it to me for free In all the oceans, for all my play It's the ship I'm choosing, every day So goodbye, CVs, and your plans This here ship, it nom noms planes Now, some play CVs, some they don't And some you just can't tell And some are good and some are not And a few, they’ll stomp you well You can laugh at my Commander That'll never bother me Say “spec for AA, it’s your savior” But I don't pay no heed Cause I’ll just go on making All the CV’s sad and blue I'm always here to make them cry My CV troubles they are few

I've been learning a bunch of the old songs that I like on my guitar if the chords aren't too complicated and the key signatures don't change too much where I can just use a capo and not have to try to play barre chords. I bought a guitar when I was in high school, over 50 years ago, but have only periodically played it until recently, when I got semi-serious about learning it. Snargfargle
https://tabs.ultimate-guitar.com is a really good website for a guitar "tinkerer." It has a simplify button and key change buttons too. If there's a song I like that I can't play, I change the key to one with chords I'm familiar with and then use a capo. I never know what key I'm in -- I just match the chords to my voice. Here is an example: This G# G#m It was an early morning yesterday. C# G# I was up before the dawn. G# G#m And I really have enjoyed my stay. C# G# But I must be moving on. changes to this at capo 4 D Dm It was an early morning yesterday. G D I was up before the dawn. D Dm And I really have enjoyed my stay. G D But I must be moving on. Edited February 3 by Snargfargle
Ensign Cthulhu
I have a variation of the chorus which I will post on that sad day in the hopefully very distant future when the servers go down. 1
