In a world where torpedoes are everything. Kamikaze has 5knts faster torps Kamikaze has .2k better conceal on those faster torps which translates into almost 2 seconds or 81% of the reaction time. All that comes with a faster torpedo reload time allowing the Kamikaze to spit out almost 40% more torpedoes. For all that you give up 1k range (which i admit, requires a tad bit more skill to play but once you reach that low threshold which isn't hard in a no radar, 20knt bb world, especially with CE). And 200 damage per torp, but considering their high alpha, that damage is commonly saturated damage resulting in, what 20 more damage? In a game where small changes are the difference between nations and tiers. It's in an entirely different ballpark than the tech tree mutsuki. Stealthy torpedo DD's are fun to play and are a concern for the opponents who are unable to detect them. Sure, there are methods of mitigating the threat posed by a stealthy torpedo DD.
