majmac
Just a question. Heavy AP and super-heavy AP options on commander builds means that the AP shells are different to normal AP shells. Therefore, surely the flight characteristics should also be different to ordinary AP. Heavier means slower speed and/or slower flight times, doesn't it? If so, is there a table in WG that lists the differences? If WG do not change the flight times when heavy/super-heavy AP option is chosen, then this really is a wacky arcade game. I thought as much. If you fire a heavier grain bullet from the same calibre rifle, the flight characteristics (eg. ballistics) change.

They do indeed. But WoWS lives in a world of WG-logicTM so pesky things like... uh... physics are often ignored for the sake of simplicity. In truth the process probably went something like this: Dev A: "We have this skill that does extra AP damage, what should we call it?" Dev B: "'Super-Heavy AP' sounds cool" Dev A: "You're a genius. Lunch?"
Itwastuesday
None of the commander skills make sense anyway. Grease the gears? Implying that other captains and their crew just let them rust and break. It's a video game with a bit more complex damage and physics system than just hit point depletion. Not a simulator but not a coin-operated pac-man machine.
