The comments below the video were entertaining.

Skynet or not, World of warships treats their bots better than the players - bots get to play all the premium ships for free 😄

Activision Blizzard patented a system probably 10 years ago that would match players against extremely skilled players or disguised bots to cause a losing streak. The game would then offer to sell them a power up. If you bought the power up, the game would then match you against lower skill players/bots to give you positive feedback for pay to win. WG/Lesta are certainly scummy enough to develop a similar system. Maybe this is the beginning.

I got reported by some dude in one match, because myself and other teammates called a Marceau who charged straight in without shooting, torping, or maneuvering is a bot. Dude said that bots don’t exist and that we’re idiots.

In a year, there will be more bots in T5 than real players. But I’m » pretty sure they will be better than the player base and know how to angle and aim

In WOWS, they will have to increase the "intelligence" of the AI in order for the bots to play anywhere near what an actually good player does. The reason is that it's not just all about probability with this game -- you also have to anticipate and react to your teammates' and opponents' moves and change your tactics on the fly to be successful.

So... the bot's will also be able to chat and report players?

I can see a rash of players trying to report everyone to see if bots can now be reported, and if not will be a mechanism to see who is a bot.

And if they guess wrong, someone's gonna get reported for real.

No I think this is just to camouflage the bots.

Me too, to camouflage them on higher tier also .

But even now I have a feeling that some ships at higher tier are bots, how they sail and fire it feels really robotic.

It's kind of scary not knowing if your playing against a person or a bot.

Imagine if they used ChatGPT for ships hehe

No need if they just spam "I need support" while yoloing and "I need inteligence data" and occasionally type "you are all idiots" it about the level of communicaton one expects from about 85% of wows players these days

Wonder what's the feasibility of training an AI to play WOWS next.

Honestly I think it would not be difficult at all, at least to achieve an above average level of performance. The basic decision making process is not exceedingly complex and the mechanical proficiency is already coded into existing bots, just not used. A bot can be far more dangerous than the vast majority of players in this game if that would be desired... but people don't enjoy having bots kicking their aft so the bots are kept dumb to please the customers, Westworld style.

Suddenly the enhanced bots:

I would not care as long as they are evenly distributed.

Asymmetrical showed they can program the bots to use consumables better (letting 1 fire burn, using radar& hydro, aim like they used to before subs,) but they can still be manipulated because they don't anticipate turns/angling.

As a huge coop player my enjoyment of the game is not tied to beating other people.
