Hello Captains,

The results seems to be:

Smolensk 50.000 Doubloons

Smolensk B 678.669 Coal

Smolensk  Flag 1.178.018 Elite XP

Smolensk B Flag 3.000 Steel

Maybe the Coal was influenced by the Kitikami announcement, thought it would go higher before that.

Thanks, but I already got my Sunday Smolensk. I use it to farm those ribbon missions I do from time to time.

Lighthouse auction has always been a controversial inclusion

However, if you are like me and only want a handful of removed ships, the option of winning them in an auction is far better than rolling the dice with Santa crates.

Of course buying them when they were first available is optimal but I haven't perfected my time machine yet

You mean controversial in the sense that players find it scummy, while Wargaming loves to get big money.

Well, fiddlesticks. 🙂 I tried to scrap every ounce of available coal but.....my 518k wasn't enough.

I like that the Lighthouse Auctions are voluntary.

If I have the resources, I can bid on items that interest me. 
If not, I can refrain from bidding {and don't lose anything (except, perhaps, an opportunity)}.

The videos done to promote the Lighthouse Auctions in the past were entertaining, too.

I complained a few days before the auction announcement that (for me) there weren't any available coal ships that I was interested in.

A sub and 3 or 4 below T5 ships and I had so much coal.

Lowest winning bid was 678,669 bid. I had just a bit onder 1 Million coal.

Now I'm coal poor and have her in port. Still have over 100k coal...

Congrats!  That was the only thing I would have bid, however.... very little coal at the moment.  🙂

Fortunately, I have the original... definitely fun in coop when you need a specific mission type or naval battle.

They did a nice job on that... particularly handsome B ship.

Or pretty much free for coal 678k . I had that but I got the Salem and something else I think so now only have 380k coal.

That’s the standard mission for acquiring any of the “B” ships when you also own the original version.

Well i didn't go all in on coal but i went bleep deep.  I bid 630k of the 680k coal i had.    Coulda had it i guess but kind of glad i didn't. I was hoping for some sort of refund on the 630k.   I figure 3 or 4 coal ships out weigh 1 smolensk.  Plus it's good to have some extra coal laying around with all these odds and ends giveaways for coal WeGe been running for the last year.

I started with 1.5 million coal, so I bid 750K since I don't have anything else to use it for.  After paying the 678K, I got a mission to get 25K coal (+2500 doubloons.)
