BCGrog Posted January 8 Posted January 8 (edited) How about for players that have met or exceeded the number of required ornaments by adding up and combining their duplicates with the ones they got, at least issue them the flag? For players that clearly put in the time and effort, it would be a great gesture on your part. Just a thought ... P.S. for the moderators, I know there is a Christmas tree thread, but I chose to make this a new post to get their attention. Edited January 8 by BCGrog 7
Frostbow Posted January 8 Posted January 8 That's a great idea, but knowing WG, don't get your hopes up. 3

Since DevStrike.net is *not* an official World of Warships forum, you might be better off "creating a ticket" with WOWs Customer Service or posting on the Official World of Warships Discord channel. WOWs is under zero obligation to view anything on DevStrike. 🙂 2
Admiral_Karasu Posted January 8 Posted January 8 @BCGrog You've made our attention. As for WG's, I don't have an answer for you.
AdmiralThunder Posted January 8 Posted January 8 9 minutes ago, BCGrog said: P.S. for the moderators, I know there is a Christmas tree thread, but I chose to make this a new post to get their attention. Just some friendly advice... WG does not interact or really even view this site. It is not affiliated with the company in any way. I believe a WOWS NA CM visited at one time but for the most part this site is way off WG's radar. Devstrike is owned and run by players with no ties to WG. The WOWS Reddit forum is also not an official site and has little interaction with WG. There is a media employee of WG that posts Devblog announcements and such on the WOWS Reddit forum, but they pretty much only do that and don't get into posts by players there. So basically, posting anything "attention WG" here or on the WOWS Reddit forum is a waste of your time "IF" you specifically are doing so because you want WG to see it. You would be better served to post on the official WOWS Discord channel where WG employees actively engage with players posting and/or sending it to Customer Support as a feedback suggestion. You can also try posting in chat during one of the official WOWS Twitch streams but be advised tons of people have been doing so (including me) and they just ignore it completely. The WOWS folks absolutely are seeing the comments (they respond to others right with them) but they just totally ignore any comments/questions about the poor implementation of the Christmas Tree. WG knows players are unhappy with it. Do they care? I have no 1st hand knowledge to say either way but based on my 8+ years dealing with them I feel the answer is no. 5 1
Admiral_Karasu Posted January 8 Posted January 8 Well, in all honesty, this Christmas tree thing was poorly devised, but otherwise what WG gave us for the holidays this year leaves no room for complaint in my opinion. 6

Agree and my complaints are just about the tree debacle. 1

I made a post here a little while ago commenting about a player doing heinous things in game, and one of the WG staff PM'd me within hours of the post to send him the replay. Just an fyi 😊 Edited January 8 by BCGrog 3 2

WG aren't reading this site, just so you know. In any case, the right time to make that request was about a month ago. 1 1

Utt_Bugglier Posted January 8 Posted January 8 The “rewards” for this “event” are sufficiently small that the event was pretty easy to ignore. Should it have been done better? Yes, of course. My concern is it may be representative of events to come - grindy, low-reward events that WG isn’t bothered about not getting right, because the reward is low. 1

Shuting down forum was a grest example that they DONT want to listen to their customers. Imagine when everybody are saying, yelling, posting, spaming dont bring submarines, and they are like, hey who cares what you think, its more premium stuff for the game, more money, here you go submarines. They would have much more players if they actually do what you say, but I think whoever is makind the decisions is a money makin man and not a gamer 2
OldSchoolGaming_Youtube Posted January 9 Posted January 9 11 hours ago, clammboy said: Why??? Im pretty sure they still want to hear everything that´s being said about them and their game (take the pulse on the community) but without the responsibility needing to actually respond to all the criticism and interact with them (hence why they closed the old forum). Its pretty smart and something I definitely would do if I were WG. As far as I heard from players that has been on their Discord/forum it's a complete Shitshow where they just censur or silent anyone trying to voice an opinion (which is probably one of many reasons this forum exists). 1
Yedwy Posted January 9 Posted January 9 Nice isea however I would rather they made a “personal pennant” if not for all then at least for people that are in game for more then say 5 years or so 2
Wulf_Ace Posted January 9 Posted January 9 reward has only value if you are flag collector, nothing else
