tm63au Posted January 1 Posted January 1 (edited) After just surviving my Initial match in a US cruiser in random where I have to score 500 000 damage on IJN ships, I was kind of reluctant to dive back in so soon anyway foolhardy courage got the best of me and I grabbed USS Alaska never played the ship in random never had any intention to do so but it was Tier IX and up so off to battle I went. Well I would not have called it a battle, slaughter might be a better word for this match. Managed to hang in there to the very last, harangued all game by those two bloody Dutch BattleCruisers you can see in the detail reports, both or at least one of those " Mothers " must have torpedoes I kept having to dodge torpedoes all game and there was not a DD anywhere. Then came the second match which I decide to play because I cant have this ship be in the RED victory wise so I plunged in again. And the tale of this story both matches were curbstompings either way, got my first kill in random in Alaska ( possibly my only but we will see ) and in both games didn't even see an IJN ship at all so I am no closer in this campaign mission will have go out some time soon again. High Tier matches are total bloodbaths. Edited January 1 by tm63au 1 1
Ramsalot Posted January 1 Posted January 1 (edited) High-tier PvP matches are my primary focus, and I’ve found that the key to enjoyment is picking a ship that remains fun to play, regardless of the outcome. For example, slow battleships can feel frustrating when your flank collapses, and short-range cruisers can be a challenge when you’re forced into a kiting role. Recently, I’ve been gravitating towards frontline destroyers like Gearing and Daring. These ships are consistently engaging, win or lose—they allow you to contribute meaningfully to the match by harassing the enemy and staying effective, even when you’re outnumbered.
