Weekend Spree, 27 to 29 December 2024

Streamed. Played a little more Randoms than I normally do. Got the Takahashi and the Brest their B hulls.

The ironic consequence of the 50% off module sale is that I bled credits like a haemophiliac.  I'm now down lower than I have been in a very long time, and I still have a few mid tier ships that I missed despite making a list and checking it twice, one T9 that I won after the discount period had passed, and another that I know I'm going to get once I have the rest of the steel from the Battle Pass (Chikuma II). 

My T8 Split is now at the stage where one good weekend with blue boosters would finish her off, but merely getting the Katsonis would just about clean me out, let alone outfitting her. It's a good thing that MOST of the rest of my grinds are T9-10 ones which I'm deliberately dragging out to somewhere near the end of 2025. And as for research bureau resets, forget it! I have the FXP for a double reset, but not the credits to buy the ships back and cash them in!

Worked on my Naval Battles grid, today and yesterday.  Glad I was able to sail low-tier ships in the process.

Finished the current Dockyard mission-set. 
Now I have to wait for the next set to become available, to progress through more dockyard stages.

Did some creative writing.

Was caught-up enough with WOWs, to switch to playing Star Trek Online.
Added some new & better equipment to one of my ships, and upgraded the ship's Impulse Engine to Mk-15 quality.

Saw the movie "Deadpool & Wolverine".  Well worth watching, in my opinion.

Was fed-up enough with the left-mouse-button wearing-out and failing to work properly at inconvenient times on my Logitech Trackman, that I ordered a couple of new trackball mice.
They arrived the other day, and I started using one of them, today.

Already, I can say it is not quite as ergonomic and user-friendly as my Logitech. 
But, it currently works properly, which is not what my Logitech is doing.
For the price, it is okay.  Perhaps I'll figure-out how to make it more wrist-friendly in the future?

Weekends are feeling weird, subjectively speaking, this time around.  🙂

Played asymmetric battles to take advantage of the 100 and 200% bonuses (and watched some teams manage to lose so hard I’d have rather had co-op bots instead). Finished two of my current tech tree grinds (Mogador to Kleber and Kagero to Yugumo) and almost finished another couple, plus plenty of progress on my other tech tree grinds. I’m probably going to be a bit late starting the next set of missions but shouldn’t be too far behind.

Still on my Christmas/new year’s vacation, but ended up subbing for another church service today. (Originally it was just going to be subbing in their bell choir, but last night it turned into ringing a bell solo during the offertory as well). 

Spent some time working on a couple RL projects that ended up on the back burner earlier this month thanks to a super full rehearsal/concert/church service schedule (gee, it must be December).

Finished the darn Christmas Tree...  Naval Battles on the COOP side of scores.  Bought out the last four Dockyard phases. 

Our division of old friends took on Ops and ASB's and had a laugh or two.  We added COD to our Discord cause a good many are headed that way part time - till, we know what we want to do with WOWS....  It's time....the magic is gone.  The frustration is to the point some of the guys end up yelling at the game....  Cause, the game is really screwed up: i.e. dead man shots and torps; games ending earlier and earlier; ricochets and pass through; and, all of the bot's and people whom simply don't care when playing..... 

So, we'll see.....  I suspect, we'll linger in WOWS part time for part of the next year and see where COD goes....  They have two other games they want to try.  I can't play some of them so.  Back to space me thinks....

I ate pizza drank beer and watched football all weekend didn't play one game Saturday or Sunday. Can't wait till the playoffs start I need to go running this week.
