8. Noatun: Earn 99000 Base XP

As some of you undoubtedly know at this point, during the last phase of current Dockyard event we will have around two weeks to earn 99k base XP.  I wanted to brainstorm the optimal way to earn said free XP in the most efficient manner.  Of course it only matters to those of us that don’t want to spend extra doubloons to buy this token out, and still want to get the dockyard ship.

I know it sounds tempting to divide 99k by 14 and do as much as we can each day, but some of us can’t commit to game sessions every day, so it may have to be done at certain times during weekend or what not.

I was thinking of committing to short, experience rich games, like brawls or ranked, possibly with tier 9 ships.  Any tips to shorten this grind?  Perhaps if I owned Paolo Emilio it would be possible to yolo as many games back to back as possible, taking down some ships on the way.  Maybe there is another way, if one does not have such a ship?

  Not a whole lot of gimmicks with BXP.  I boil these grinds down to what looks to me like the most BXP per "amount of time".  I have become a PVE main, so I may be biased, but I don't think I can do better than co op.  I can regularly pull 500 - 600 BXP, especially with a fast, short-reload cruiser with torps.  I don't mind playing subs or CV but I can't routinely get the same numbers, so I'll avoid those classes.  I would also recommend against the yolo tactic- short term gain for long term loss, plus I'm not convinced that you can do better yoloing "per amount of time", as I factor in 2-3 minutes between games in port, in queue, etc.  I play PVE super agressive and as well as I can, that seems to get me the most BXP per.  All just my opinion of course.  Good luck!

Just going to add that if you have the Sims, it has a built in BXP modifier. Back when Ranked was tier 7, she was called a star saver because she usually would top the list of the losing team.

With back to back brawls in T9 DD I was pulling 1263 base XP per 9 minutes and 3 seconds on average.  I will have to see if I can do better.

I'm not sure if I can hit the target given IRL commitments. I will do my Base XP grind in Operations. My Schlieffen and Libertad can do at least 2,000 Base XP at times; 1,500 to 1,900 most of the time.

Star Trek Borg Invasion would have been my go-to answer, but the event ended weeks ago.

I miss that event. Especially Part 3. Fun times. 

For that 99k BXP phase, it would be a better choice compared to Co-op. The Star Trek event's Base XP payouts are very reasonable and at the same time, comfortable to achieve.

If you're semi-competent and play subs you can usually get 2000-2500 Base XP per game by not doing much at all.

Hey @AdmiralThunder this is one of the reasons why calling for the removal of submarines in the game is short sighted. 😂

I'll mostly play ranked during those weeks and when trying to rank out that xp requirement is definitely not a problem.

Sadly this is not accurate.  I felt adventurous when subs were introduced, and I even picked up Gato.  I have 62% WR on her and did enough consistent damage to get sub elite badge, yet average XP shows at 1480.  S-189 has ok stats, 55% WR, average XP 1530.  I went over my ships and highest average XP is on BBs that have reputation for being good, like Bourgogne and Ohio.  Tech tree ships its ships like Libertad, Montana, Yamato.  The other ship classes are substantially behind.

I mean, if it was down to me I would press the button to delete Subs and CVs from this game in a heartbeat. I have no illusions regarding how OP/Unbalanced these two classes are. 3 years ago I might have given a fook, but with the direction WG is taking this game with all new BS/OP Classes and ships ..... seriously?! ... who gives a fook these days.

Its just crap and unbalance over some more crap and unbalance with extra unbalance gravy on the side. I find it hilarious that WG still try and "Police" some modes and comp by restricting some ships they haven't been able to balance in 9 years. Why not just flood all comp, Clan battles etc with full lineups with whatever monstrosity WG feels it to OP this season, apparently, they think they are "totally fine" for Randoms. The hypocrisy from them is at Epic proportions.

But of course, if you wanna speed up the process you take GATO or some of the other T10 Subs and just go semi-inspired for greater pay out.

Or a strong T8 in a T10 match

And just get 3 000 Base XP for free......

I think Asymmetric will still be active for that 2 week mission period.  I'll probably do mostly that in the best ships for generating damage in that battle type.  I'd expect to average 1200-1400 bxp in relatively short battles with short queue times in Asymmetrics.

There will be a couple of heavy days, but it should be possible.   7500 avg bxp/day for 14 days is 105,000.

The last part, Queen's Rage, was the best. Lots of bots to destroy, and the bots have their own nifty tricks that overall made the Operation very dynamic and satisfying. One of the most amazing aspects of the last part was the fact that it required the player to properly manage his shields or else his ship will be destroyed by the Queen's orbital bombardment. On the score part, I made at least 1,000,000 damage 3 times using the BB, and 2 times using the cruiser. I will be very happy when it comes back again.

I will believe it when I see it.  These are two games I just played this morning.    2010 XP on Bourgogne, 797 XP on Gato.  Except I had to open garage for the water guy during Bourgogne game.  I will try to get a win on Gato and come back.  But, if Subs are so amazing on XP for doing literally nothing as you say, and I get a kill, why would I be on the bottom of the list then?

I'm guessing you won't get 2,000 to 3,000 BaseXP per random battle if you are "Spotting only".

But, perhaps a few test-games could better answer your question?  🙂
