Get 120 "Incapacitations" ribbons

So, those don't happen all that often.  Any idea on how to grind it out of the way?  I tried the usual HE spammers to rack up these ribbons, Colbert/Harugumo/Smolensk/Illinois, but they all suck for that.  Thunderer in Asymmetric can get a handful when hitting cruisers, but nothing extraordinary.  Any faster way to get those, maybe I am missing something.

Well I saw that and was like, hmmm. Gunfights with DDs is what I'm going to try. But it will be a long row to hoe nonetheless.

I "discovered" this during my early morning battles more by accident than design when using the Stalingrad and Graf Spee loaded with HE especially on DDs, although the GS also wrecked things on Tier VI cruisers.

Well, its no brainer that hitting something fragile like a light cruiser or DD with some HE is going to break things, but getting 120 of those quick sucks.

I found that the old run head first with your DD and smash enemy DD in co-op then die rinse/repeat is sadly the fastest way to accumulate said ribbons.  Only because you are pretty much guaranteed to run into enemy DD and break things each time you do that, and you can do that back to back quickly.  If you actually try to play it out, the game will drag on and you will get less ribbons then suicide co-op DD run.

Kleber works best.  Big mean HE shells, engine boost, reload booster, can drop torps before its over.  Perfect.

If I need to grind incapacitation ribbons quickly, I take British BBs into Coop. The HE has such a large splash radius that even near misses on DDs are likely to break multiple modules. Cruiser torpedo tubes and engines are also very vulnerable.

I just sailed my Constellation into a Co-op game.
First salvo was fired at a DD  (G. Hoffman, I think?).  Scored 4 incapacitations.  🙂 
Yay!  Only 116 more to go.  🙂

Well, this mission task can be done simultaneously with other mission tasks.
So, it could be a low-effort side-gig, while working on other missions.

Yeah, if it happens by itself then it hapens, if not, other missions are easier.

This is not a mission you can skip, if you want to complete dockyard ship with only 2 stages remaining.  It awards dockyard token.  I mean if you want to spend doubloons to buy one extra stage, or don’t want the ship, sure it’s optional.

By the way dropping Midway bombs prints those ribbons like there is no tomorrow, too bad I don’t want to play it.

Yes, you re right, but you can finish stage 5 without it, and it can finish by itself later, even during stage 8.

 

A bigger problem is the 99 k base XP that given exactly at the last stage.

There is going to be few days to grind out 99k, and if you keep grinding something like brawls or ranked it should generate decent amount per hour.

Well 100k base xp is like 100 random battles, not exactly a cakewalk by any means, ok one could go for bunch of fast yolos in coop or something that would yield like 4-5k per hour but still 20h of gameplay isn't a smalln amount

At the moment, I've scored 42 out of the required 120 ribbons.  🙂

I've been sailing nothing but the Hoffman and average 4 a COOP match.  Almost finished them today in between making Spaghetti sauce for dinner....

Since I get the 200/200/200 each match, and have 150mm guns........well, it's not hard to do.

So far, I have 98 matches in that ship (in a row) and I'll have 120 tomorrow morning. 

BTW, great DD in ASB's and Operations.....

Nelson with HE in Asym. I was getting 10-14 incap ribbons a game.
