if you dont have too many tier 8 premium ships, yes.

 

If you have almost all of the tier 8 premium ships that you like, then no.

If you haven't enough premium time, then I would first go for 360 premium time for 12k dubs. If you have - then depends of how much ships do you have and how much dubs/money is and most important - check how much do you need mega crate for the pitty drop from mega. If it is 2 or 3, then I would go for T8 container+ 2 mega. If it is more than 3 mega, then @22 cm write to you how and when for t8 container.

Add your birthday to your WoWS profile.  On your birthday WG offers you a deal that will give you 100% doubloons back for most purchases.  Buy $50 dollars in doubloons, get an additional $50 in doubloons.  Or, buy a Tier 8 ship for cash, get that same amount back in doubloons.  Additionally, WG will give you two super containers.

The second best deal, as stated above, is 360 days premium time for 1/2 off, which is available around Christmas (and active right now).

Your fleet size and what you want/need plays a factor in what other options may present a value.  The sequential bundle in the Armory right now isn't a bad deal since it ends with a guaranteed Tier 8 ship, and there are several containers in the bundle that have decent ship drop rates.  If you have many of the ships from those crates the bundle starts to lose its luster.

Santa's Mega containers have always been a pretty big hit with the customers.  They offer decent ship drop rates and can give some other nice stuff.  But, it is a gamble.  Plenty of players buy Santa containers expecting x number of ships, don't get any, and claim to have been ripped off.  They weren't ripped off, chance just didn't favor them during that money wheel spin.  Never forget that even if they drop a ship, it won't necessarily be a ship you like.  If you just want to add premium ships to your fleet that may not matter to you.

If you have specific ships you really want and they are available for doubloons in the Armory, you will be much better off to just buy those ships directly (with coupons, if available).  If you try to get a specific ship from Santa crates, you could end up spending hundreds or even thousands of dollars and still never get the specific ships you are after.

Doubloon for Doubloon, premium account time purchased for the 50% reduced price is the best value.
It reduces "grinds" and improves "earnings" on all the ships in your fleet.

As already stated, the 50% off premium time is the best thing you can buy. If you already have a bunch of premium time but not a lot of ships, the Tier VIII ship bundle is the next best thing. If you already have a bunch of premium time and a lot of ships, why are you listening to me?

Based upon your fleet, the premium time will be much more beneficial than a random tier VIII + possibly another ship or two.

I'm not into premium time because since I created my account, I always had enough premium time without buying it. That's why I'm wondering if it's such a good deal for me

You only have two months of premium left. If you’re going to roll the dice and not top up your premium time, then yes, the tier VIII ship bundle is a good deal for someone without a bunch of tier VIII ships looking to grow their port.

Incorrect.  What you have selected on your filter is ships for Operations.  Apparently the only ships you have that qualify for Operations happen to be premiums.  I can see other premium ships on your carousel that are grayed out.

Select only the premium ship icon on your filter to show ALL of your premium ships.

You don't have a ton of ships, I think it depends. How often do you play Wows? If it's daily and you want more tech tree ships I'd recommend the year of premium time. If you only play intermently I'd recommend a specific t8 or t9 that matches your favorite playstyle.

I play everyday. I always go for the 3 free contenairs. And since march 2024 (the month i started to play) I never bought any premium days. I always won them in contenairs or missions. That's why I'm wondering if I really need the 50% deal on premium days

There are a lot of ways to earn premium time as a new player, but probably not enough to get you to the next black friday or Christmas for this half off sale. 

If you have to buy crates megas is more efficient for ship hunting, but I believe it only has a 180 days of premium drop at 1%

Premium time is good mostly if you regrind a lot for Research Points or you play mostly high tiers.

This year is the first in quite a while that I don't buy the discounted premium year, as I still have slightly more than 360 days left. But only because I pulled 180 days from a satan box. Otherwise I would of course have bought it, it is such a no-brainer for a regular player. 40 bucks for 12 months prem, thats like 3.30 per month for a huge benefit. Even if I were jobless I could (and would) afford that. I doubt that 73 days of premium will carry you through the next year. Of course, it also depends on how likely you are to still play in one year.

Other than that, I think Satan Mega Boxes are the second best value for money in the game, aside from the ships (with a chance to get rare ones to boot) you also get good eco boosters and dubs. I don't like the current event chain all that much because the containers are imho too expensive for what they offer (too much chaff in the consolation prices), and the camo for 1200 dubs is insulting because it has exactly zero value for me.

I try to log in everyday, not necessarily to play, though, but I'm pretty much covered for the upcoming year thanks for the crates I got. In retrospect, trying to play on two regions wasn't the smartest thing to do, in terms of game time management, as it puts me at a disadvantage in both regions. In future, I may be less inclined to actually invest in premium time unless WG comes up with some kind of multi-regional premium time.

WG has given us the 'unified account', so just go the extra step and make it count for real.
