A Rodney Got Dropped On Me

Recommended Posts

The last of the teenie weenie gift crates from the daily Armory ration dropped a Rodney on me.

Opinions, please. Did WG drop a gudbote on me, or just drop a deuce on me?

Considering the allusion made in my post, there was a couplemore fitting MPHG snippets to counter with:

1. The French guy at the Castle “Aaaaaagh!”

2. The “he don’t got sh** on him” reply at the conclusion of Michael Palin’s “come see the violence inherent in the system!” diatribe.

I was dropped the ship, btw, not the pontoon boat.

I got all that stuff turned off, anyway.

The Kancolle Rodney's uniform is "modest", in comparision with the Azur Lane Rodney's uniform.  🙂
And Kancolle hasn't done a collaboration with World of Warships yet.  So, there's that.

Anyway, Congrats on your Rodney.  May she sail well in your Fleet.  🙂

If it's free, it's not garbage.

People think they're facing a Nelson; they don't realize that you have forward-facing St Vincent-like torpedoes that hit with the force of a sigmoidoscope entering at Mach 3.

Just don't get too deeply into trouble, since unlike the Nelson, you don't have a superheal and YOU will be the one getting reamed.

Every Halloween I go over to a certain neighbor’s and leave a bag of dog-deuce flambé on his doorstep.

Every year without fail, he fixates on the burning dogsh** aspect of it and gets all uptight about it. Does he ever appreciate that it’s free???

NIEUUOOOOOOOOOO!!!

Crummy ingrate.

WG dropped Hood on me about 6 months ago from a supercontainer.

It is great? No, no its not.

Is it a deuce? Not at all.

Its a perfectly fine BB. I don't really play it because of all the actually awesome tier 7's I have, but still I'm glad I got it.

I suspect Rodney is the same. Nelson is the big deal of the two IMO.

Frankly that equivalence is crappy. Even a poor junk premium is worth some rewards on snowflake events after all. It is more like that ugly painting that sits in the closet all year and only comes out when she visits.

But it was FREE. Therefore, be grateful for it.

Whether you wanted it or not, you got it, and for free.

This also means you can't get it in another drop (unless you sell it), thus opening a spot for a drop of a ship that you do want.

There's many premiums that are almost insulting to get, the sort of worse-at-everything deals. Rodney is not one of them, though. Even if it sucked, which I don't think it does, it's different and funny, which is a good thing for a premium to be.

Don't tell me, you still haven't gotten your Makarov, have you? 🤪

Well for perspective OP, at least the Rodney is no Krasny Krym. Be lucky you didn't get that ship. And if you did, I can commiserate with you.

Got all of the shortlist boats back then I believe. At least Makarov is good. Unlike California.

Every time someone mentions the California, I wonder how long it will take for @Sailor_Moon to arrive?  😉

Wait, did I not say this already??

Well, gee, I guess I did.

It just adds soooo much to a discussion to tell the OP what he has already said.

All I have asked is opinions of the ship. This helps me decide if it is worth:

1. 3.875M credits to outfit the upgrade slots (6.875M if a ship is T9-11)

2. Developing a dedicated captain if needed.

3. Worth coal for available special upgrades.

Thank you to those who have responded informatively.

Thank you also to those who have responded humorously.

RNWG held off on blessing me with that particular vessel until earlier this year.

Freud said “sometimes a cigar is just a cigar.”

Nautically, sometimes a guano barge is the Cutty Sark underneath. With Krasny Krym, the guano barge really is just a guano barge.

Agreed! It's a (very) good BB on TVII IMHO! Everything is about personal preference isn't it? I like to sail Rodney and use her in battle. AND i payed to get her and don't regret it a second.
