Yeah, when it will go live, sigh ..... i'm on the fence whether to buy or not the current pass...

After looking at my spare doubloons and the cost of other Tier-7 ships in the Armory, plus the "goodies" that an event pass includes, I decided to splurge the 3,500 doubloons for the paid-track of "Chapter 1:  Adventure's Call".
Mostly, I was interested in the steel, the Commander Li Wei and her ship, the Teng She,(which looks pretty, like Li Wei, what a coincidence 🙂 ).
The other goodies in the free and paid tracks of the event pass are icing on my figurative cake, which I am enjoying the flavor of.

The nice thing about event passes is that they can be evaluated as one plays through them and a player can wait until the last minute to gain the rewards of the paid track.
Just play and progress through the free track.  If you progress far enough, or past the "finish line", then it is easier to evaluate if the doubloons cost is a bargain (or not) for your personal criteria.  🙂

WG should put commanders to be seen in battle, somewhere on the screen, maybe top down. Also when you click on it to show skill that you have. Its pity to be able just to see them in port

Just considering that you get Tier 7 premium ship for 3 500 doublons and pretty good one is worth it. Also you get bunch of santa containers and you might get lucky. From one of the small containers I got Tulsa. Anyway considering the price and rewards its worth it.

Yes, but the thing is, Christmas is coming and I kinda think that the upcoming pass will be even better. But I don't know. As a FTP player i have to think and prioritise  the spending of my hard earned dubloons. And I don't really play BB's.

Yes, these are the two considerations I'm bouncing around while sitting on that fence. Still, I'm leaning towards what we know about Teng She making it a better ship than an  Lugdunum which is more of a unknown, at least it's a mystery to me. Also, Teng She appears to be the more interesting one, at least from my point of view.

What tipped the balance for me was having the Teng She gives me a premium ship for training Pan Asian DD and CA captains without messing with their skill set.

A good point. Most of us (veteran players) already have at least one French premium BB.

Well, "any battle type" will hopefully include clan battles in the next event pass... 

It's a bit frustrating to play 4 hours of WoWS and not "tick the box" of the event pass base XP, AND not move most of the dockyard missions.

Ditto Lugdunum in Pan-Euro; she's much more easily obtainable than the dockyard ship at a significantly lower price.

I have no plans to play Teng She so I did not buy the first stage paid track.

Conversely, I am very excited for Lugdunum and plan to purchase that track wednesday.
