Brisbane in operations

After the snowflake grind I now have enough coal for another ship

I haven’t seen a lot of information on how the Brisbane does in operations, and was wondering what the consensus was on the Aussie Minotaur for the new high tier operations 

I’ve also been considering the Salem but I’m also open to other considerations for operations

(I already have Napoli and the last thing I need is another German BB)

The Brisbane can participate in Scenario Operations.

That said, she's a light cruiser.
Even with Repair Party, her durability is a concern.
Because the most armored portions of her hull are only 101 mm (broadside armor) or the 102 mm armor on her turrets.
The Brisbane relies upon the Mister Miyagi advice of "Best block, no be there" to avoid damage.
So, I hope you're proficient in the ancient martial-art of  "just dodge".   🙂 

At least she's a nimble gal, especially with both rudder-shift modules bringing her rudder-shift down to 5 seconds.
Her turning radius is 750 meters, and her maximum speed is 33.5 knots without a Sierra-Mike 5% speed flag. 
With Sierra Mike, she can do 35.2 knots.

The Brisbane's torpedoes have a useful 13.5 km range.
With the proper build, she can stealth-torpedo with a 3 to 3.5 km margin.

The Brisbane does not have secondary battery guns. 
The ten 152mm main-guns reload reasonably fast (mine reload in 5 seconds).

(Special Event) Commander Matilda Kelly pairs well with the Brisbane.  🙂

Brisbane is a decent light cruiser for Operations. Having HE is an advantage over Minotaur. Brisbane lacks smoke generator but that is not a disadvantage in most cases. I run a lighthouse build in Operations, for as much impact as possible. 

Here is a pair of relatively recent Brisbane games I had in Operations that made at least 2000 Base XP.

First game: 10 kills. 2015 Base XP.

Second game: Brisbane competing against high DPM ships like Sherman, Minotaur, Des Moines, and Salem.

I did get the Brisbane, first impressions are that it plays like a cross between San Diego and Worcester (but with very good torpedoes)

It has the tools to be effective in most situations as long as the red team doesn’t take too much of an interest in your wellbeing

 Thanks for the input, the cruiser from the land of upside down looks like it’ll be a terror in operations

Brisbane is quite nice for ops.  Keep your head on a swivel though.  CL's can get hammered quickly.  When you have enough coal for another, might I suggest the sea witch, Salem.  Her radar doesn't suffer as badly as in random battles.  Those autoloading 8" guns can be pretty devastating.  She earns good bank too.
