The Mighty Jingles is entertaining.  🙂

There's a lot he's either not bothered to learn, or has forgotten, about playing World of Warships, though, in my opinion.

Well.......actually this video has a quite a bit of educational value. Like "don't do it, as they've done it".Plenty to learn from, in my opinion, in this case. 🙂

I don't listen to Jingles so much for game tips as for his perspective as a retired Royal Navy petty officer and his interest in history (and cats). A lot of people don't like Flambass but if you watch how he plays you will get better at the game because playing the game is his job and he's literally a professional at it.

In that aspect, I'd agree.

Spoiler

That said, Jingles is talking about Battleships being faster than the submarine, while the U-4501 is depicted doing 37+knots while submerged.  😉
Granted, the U-4501 can't stay submerged forever, and she's only able to do a little over 20 knots while surfaced.
Jingles also had a poor understanding of the detection consumables and their names.
(But, Jingles mis-naming stuff isn't exactly new behavior, for him.  So there's that.)
There are differences between Hydro-acoustic Search and Submarine Surveilance and the Hydrophone.  🙂

Which is what you get, when Jingles talks about "Black-catting" in the video.

I enjoyed that I like almost all of Jingles videos. How can you not like someone with that accent and infectious laugh? I watch his videos solely for entertaiment purposes which he does well.

Yes. But he does his series (also the game of throws) which could serve as cautionary  and "kids frigthenin' tales". i actually learned a LOT as a beginner from his videos, tho not necessarily from him.

Yep. Stopped watching KOTS because Wedgie removed the former Cc's from commenting it. Flambass not merely just  commented, but explained whats and why was happening i.e explained anticipatedly the tactics and strategies at play.

When I was an undergrad, there was a girl from Gibraltar in several of my classes. I liked to get her to talking just to hear her talk. She could have read me the phone book and I'd have been enraptured.

Later on, I had a girlfriend who's Japanese roommate simply cracked me up with what she said. "Hey, cut out, I no you pet!" "I no hungry then, I hungry now!" "You put down, to heavy, let boyfriend carry, he big strong German man."

Hmmm...... not necessarily. The sub, in order to win, had to surface to cap and then he was slower. As for Hydro .... he has a point, as being hillarious that in a naval game, that hydrophone, which was invented to discover subs , does not and we need a sperarate consumable for that.

Btw can someone tell me what camo the sub is wearing?

As valid as any analysis which compares real life with an arcade game known as World of Warships.  😉

WOWs didn't make the effort to properly model the acoustic underwater environment, I reckon.
They merely wanted programming parameters and numerical values which could be used with their existing detection system, eh?  🙂

Looks like the stock skin?

Edit.  Nope.  Not according to the armory advertising photos.

Could be ... "Shadow Lurker", or ?

Edited again.  At 15:41 time-stamp in the video, it looks like the stock/normal camo/skin for the U-4501.

I like catching his mistakes as well as learning from the players he showcases.

Well he is an old retired man. It happens at times. That is what makes him likable. I am waiting for the "back in my days in the Navy....."

I see. That theme on the conning tower looked like a Bugs Bunny sort of thing and I thought that is some 'special" camo so it peaked my interest.  🙂

I zoomed-in a bit, via the original screen-shot, and copied the artwork on the conning-tower/sail.

I found a partial answer ...
https://uboat.net/special/emblems/popular.html

Quote
flo11_s.gif

The Polar Bear - 11th Flotilla

This emblem was a fitting one for the 11th Flotilla located in Bergen, Norway. This flotilla fought in the Arctic Ocean, often against convoys to Russia.

Keywords: polar bear, u-boat

10 U-boats displayed this emblem
U-251, U-302, U-354, U-405, U-589, U-591, U-606, U-622, U-657 and U-867.

Click on the boat's number to see if there were other emblems.

I'm still trying to learn about the emblem on the center of the U-4501's sail.

Edit:  Looks like @Andrewbassg's enhanced zoom-in helped identify the shield with a cross and a submarine.
