Don't be this guy.

Okay, so this happened, and I gotta say this, so...

Guys. This is Co-op. The enemies are bots. Worst case scenario, you have to drop again and spend five more minutes to do whatever it was you wanted to do the first time and failed to.

So there is no reason whatsoever you should be getting so tilted by the results of a match against bots that you try to start ship with another player back in port.

Far less that you get so bent out of shape that you turn it into a grudge, involving multiple accounts (who even has multiple accounts for petty crap like this?).

To wit:

Ohlookabutthurtcensored.thumb.jpg.690efaeb13dcfd0e1f35a97f7afa5e25.jpg

...and if you are that petty and that in need of anger management classes, definitely don't then go and use your other accounts to keep spewing bile after your first one's been blocked and reported...

Report2censored.thumb.jpg.f7d381b4fb881a52734c0c6e8ec67fee.jpg

...guys. C'mon. Get a life. Don't get two of your (apparently six) accounts banned because you were butthurt that someone did better in a Co-op game than you did. There are more important things in life. Touch grass. Smoke a bowl. Pet a cat.

Chiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiill.

This has been a Public Service Announcement from your friendly neighborhood Deadguy. Your regularly scheduled programming will resume presently.

(Obscenities redacted for the sake of not violating multiple TOS agreements.)

*edit- This is the game that started the party. No, I can't stop laughing.

This is not even remotely close to the best game I've ever had in Atlanta. *sigh...*

Why is it that Co-op now has some of the most toxic players?

It is always a pleasure seeing you in battle and so you have made at least one friend. (even when you are in your Kleber as I just watch and learn)

The *usual* explanation is that "random mains" are visiting to complete their missions/tasks more easily or quickly.  😉

Usual ≠ True.

Or it is indeed usual, but only to the extent of your experience.

And you are quick to assume that toxic players are 'random mains'—which is not right, to be honest about it.

"Writers write what they know."
So, I'm going with my experience, here.  🙂

Are you trying to defend bad behaviors?
Or the reputations of random mains, in general?
Or simply trying to avoid getting lumped-in with the anger-management class candidates?  🙂

I am most definitely not. But I also see and recognize once again your thinly veiled attempt to equate bad behavior as the monopoly of PVP players.

This topic is intended to be a humorous public service announcement which encourages everyone to "Don't be that guy".
I'm uncertain whether or not you're getting into the spirit of things, here.  🙂

I didn't insult you, specifically.  Yet I get the impression that you, specifically, were "triggered".
Which, specifically, was unintentional on my part.

Perhaps this is all a bit over-dramatic?  Not the sort of stuff to get our feathers ruffled, over, eh?
Better to enjoy a favorite beverage and some popcorn and the entertainment, I figure.
Because it would be silly to claim you had a persecution complex, eh?  🙂

Guys, let's have some tea, shall we? There is some behavior everywhere. So let's just be glad we're not that guy.

None taken, and none 'triggered' anything. I am merely coming from a past discussion we had where you listed why you prefer Co-op while implying toxicity is the monopoly of PVP players.

The "past discussion" you're referring to, is probably old enough to be considered forum necromancy?
I don't remember it, off the top of my head.  And I'm guessing further exploration would be better discussed in another separate topic.

For some WoWS is the game. For others it is the vehicle to their game, as witnessed by the OP and others.

My response to that game is always "Thanks for watching and don't forget to like and subscribe!".

I only get irritated at the Mainz players on certain OPS who just win on their own...

Usually I try to ask if they are farming something specific or if they want to leave something for the rest of us.

The response helps me set expectations for myself on what kind of result to expect.

😉

Yeah that can be a bit annoying but I mostly only get really annoyed at the people who sail off to a specific spawn point to kill bots there putting them out of place to do more useful tasks.

My few plays poorly I give out in ops are usually for people who put themselves way out of position to get a group of enemies, like the north spawn in Killer Whale before we even get into the harbor. Or sometimes if someone's actions seem to have caused the loss of match or star and are especially egregious, these are rare though as most times I explain it away as target fixation and know that I too am subject to that curse. Farmers I just grumble about and move on unless it involves not ending Killer Whale or Cherry Blossom in time.

For ships that irritate me as a general rule. Hmm probably Yolo Emilos in co-op, you know the ones, full speed ahead, smoke, torp what they can before running headlong into all the bot torps. At least a well played Kleber that clears my flank I can respect the effort, even as I chalk that match up to a waste of time.

To be fair, I understand this guy's frustration. Sub players in co-op are in a particularly miserable place, since they're now the only ship type in the game that can't dump torps on an opponent at touching distance and blow it to hell, and they very frequently get their shots spoiled by HE spammers who blow the bot DCP, ruin the ping and make all the torps miss, then kill the target before the sub can reload. AGAIN AND AGAIN.

That's not a justification for the bad conduct experienced by the OP, and I hope WG makes the appropriate correlations and chat-bans ALL the offender's accounts, but I can definitely sympathize with the mood.

You could ask if they mind if you go and have a cup of tea or something.

While sailing a Submarine in Co-op has its... ummm... quirks, the Undine is a slow boat.
And even with a head-start of a forward spawning position, the Undine is going to struggle to score some hits earn some credits before the match is over (which you pointed-out, in your own way).  🙂
But, that's no excuse for poor sportsmanship & poor chat behavior.  (Which seems to be the consensus among the topic participants, here.)

Co-op is fine for learning how to maneuver a Submarine and get the initial familiarization with the ping mechanic.
After that, most players venture into random battles, to better utilize the Submarine's features and take advantage of the slower paced game-play.

What the pink-named player is doing in Co-op with an Undine (other than being salty) remains a mystery that I'm not inclined to fathom.  🙂

Yeah trying to sub in co-op is an exercise in extreme frustration, especially with the T6 ones. So slow, then you watch as your torps stop tracking because someone lit a fire. Or a fast DD swoops in and torps the target before yours get there. Or someone turns in between you and your target so the torps hit them instead. Or the bots dodge your homing torps, which doesn't happen often but has a few times. Add to that bots have perfect airstrike drops so if you get spotted you are likely hit and like to rush you so the range damage reduction kicks in.

Still it is something you just learn to shrug off, or maybe yell at the screen about why you got stuck in a match with a bleeping bleeped up bleep of a bleep Atlanta yet again. Not send in port messages as you said.

Whenever I see a Kleber or Marceau, or worse both of them, spawned with me I know, unless the drivers are useless, it's going to be a lean match for me. Personally I tend not to play DDs because of the rush, kill, die that is prevalent which I really don't enjoy. The disparaging comments and insults really don't achieve anything except perhaps a deserved ban, and it's debatable as to how effective that is. The stakes in PVE are really not high enough to warrant anything even close to that sort of behaviour, people just need to have a cup of tea and a chocolate hobnob and relax.
