Seems that the decorations are sorta themed. Chosed oriental themed ones ( or so i say) and they appeared. Now i'm not sure about this, but it seems like it.

I am not sure yet because I don't have all the ornimates. To be honest it can be quite confusing trying to mount the decorations and tell the differences but I am still loving it. Honestly I really like how the town lights up more and more as you add more ornimates to the tree it's very cool.

What theme you choose Mr Clammboy?

Yes, the decorations are themed and - depending on which ones you put up - you also have a chance in the environment. E.g. for me the ornament on the top of the tree determines, whether the hot air balloons have a European- or Asian-style hull. And the tinsel seems to determine, if the swing is European- or Asian-styled.

Yea I think I will go European since I am from the states but I am going to give both a good look.

When I put a "tree-topper" up, balloons appeared over my Port.  🙂 
I've got all the ornament slots filled and have a Panda sitting in front of my tree.

Glad the Christmas tree isn't made out of bamboo. Panda loves eating bamboo leaves.

The Christmas Tree and the overall theme (including art, colors, ambient sound, and music) of the Port is probably the best part of Update 13.11.

Yours looks great I think the ballons change depending on which ornimates you chose to put on the tree. Asian theme or European theme but I'm not sure.

Just filled all the slots.  Split 50/50 theme.   Snowflake at the top, so it's europe balloons and asian swing.  The free day premium and santa gift was nice surprise.

 

I noticed under the advent Calander.  Some people have nothing and some people have a dragon.   I have Stags.   Maybe that determined by an ornament too.

As I wrote above: By changing the ornaments on your tree between European-style and Asian-style, you change various aspects of the town. In my experience the ornament on top of the tree impacts the balloon color. The tinsel type changes the style of the swing.

If you mouse over the ornaments it shows you if it is Wei's ornament or Olaf's ornament. It appears random as to the order that you collect them. When I started my tree (and before I realized there were two different styles) ALL the ornaments I earned were Wei's and I couldn't figure out why my tree had an Asian look to it.

I have Santa under my Christmas tree and also have Santa over city under advent calendar. Ballons are 50/50 like Christmass tree and on the top of the christmas tree is star.

When I was a kid growing up, Santa might have been under the tree as well, or the table.
