OldSchoolGaming_Youtube Posted December 4, 2024 Posted December 4, 2024 So if we forget about Clan battles and Ranked. Is there any other efficient ways of earning steel except for just owning all the T8, T9 and T11 ships in the game? Also for these 3 tiers is it ones, twice or three times a year you can earn steel from them? Really got my eye on the Swedish SVEA. 1
Taylor3006 Posted December 4, 2024 Posted December 4, 2024 Tier 11s give steel twice a year so it is probably your best bet for gathering it. Being part of a clan and earning 10% more steel is also a good idea. Division Stars events offer 400 or 500 steel just by playing in a division with a clanmate for 3 games of your choice. Also grind missions in Dockyard and BP that offer steel as a reward. The problem is it is all in dribs and drabs, you just have to collect all that you can unless you want to play competitive. I wouldn't call any of efficient, you just have to be persistent and patient. 2

You earn steel from your ships twice a year, for the Anniversary event in September and the Holiday event in December. Also the battle pass has (sometimes?) steel on the free track. Unfortunately I know of no other reliable way to earn steel, other than to buy it, e.g. by buying out a dockyard, from the paid track of the battle pass (sometimes?). Edit: The Anniversary event only gives steel for T11 ships, IIRC. Edited December 4, 2024 by tangofan 1
AdmiralThunder Posted December 4, 2024 Posted December 4, 2024 Snowflakes, Anniversary flakes (SuperShips), Dockyards, and Battlepass are the main ways outside of the modes that give it as a reward. 4
palestreamer Posted December 4, 2024 Posted December 4, 2024 You can earn 1700 steel by being silly in the Star Trek mode. I guess you don't like ranked, but by gritting your teeth and playing a couple of games a day until you get the 9 wins in each sprint, you can make 1200 steel per month. plus clan bonus, which really adds up over the year. A good player like you should be able to do it in four or five days per sprint? Buying the battle pass every patch gives you another 1800 or so per month. By doing all the above I get a couple of steel ships per year, and I have no T11 ships. 2

The Star-Trek mode is tough with a random team, but with a group of friends who understand the mode it's not too bad. And the steel there was very welcome. 2

But it cost 9 bucks a month which is nothing unless you are free to play or angry with the company and dont want to give them money which is your prerogative. 1
Itwastuesday Posted December 5, 2024 Posted December 5, 2024 I'ts not what you asked, but your best bet is probs CB. Merc for someone if you have to. 1
Wulf_Ace Posted December 5, 2024 Posted December 5, 2024 Event pass seems to give some steel every patch. Clan battles seems to be the best way for steel 1
Utt_Bugglier Posted December 5, 2024 Posted December 5, 2024 Well, for those who opine that Ranked is not really a “competitive mode,” Ranked would be your answer. 1
WildWind84 Posted December 7, 2024 Posted December 7, 2024 Right now - rewards in star trek mode. Battle pass also.
