Festive Rewards

Oh-kay,  here we are: snow flakes are all done and now, I am earning even more Festive Rewards (35 or so last I looked).... 

Is there anything they can be used for after you finish the Snowflake mission?

Seems kind of dumb to keep earning them and have nothing to use them for? 

Have I missed something yet again>?

I'm glad you posted this. I was going to ask the same question earlier but my Internet's been flaky all day and I forgot to do so when I finally got back online.

They’ll just keep building up. In case you get any more ships during the event, you can just use them to immediately clear the flake without needing to play any more games.

The only difference between this time and the anniversary a few months ago is it keeps updating the counter in port when you earn more. You still earned them last time, but it only showed the number of eligible ships in your port.

Thanks.  I "assumed that" but, for some reason, in a game that "wants you to play more", it just seems a bit "illogical" to reward you by "not playing the game....?"

Im playing higher tier ships, but clearing mostly the lower tier ships first to keep my interest up towards the end.

You’re still playing the game, just not playing every ship. Or did you want to play 5/6/700 ships in a month or two?

Actually, I am baffled why our host didn't go there !!!  More throughput and less pay out sounds great and I am stunned they haven't gone down that Darwinian path...

They used to, and sometimes we didn’t even get extra time to do them (although Christmas was usually longer than anniversary). But I think even WG realized that was no longer feasible with the number of ships in game, hence why they added bonus rewards a couple years ago. (And probably because of the complaints of everyone spamming co-op, or even possibly botting or afking co-op.)

The change to the X bonuses per 1k base xp was just another QoL improvement, since players could still clear flakes the old way but this way they also had the option of not needing to play tons of different ships if they wanted.
