Altwar Posted December 3, 2024 Posted December 3, 2024 oh wow, giant sized picture! Um, so just wondering what everyone else is doing, strategy wise. Forgive me if this is already in another thread; I didn't see it. Anyway, for me, I'm using them to at first claim rewards on my fully researched tech tree ships, starting at tier 5 and working my way up. I like my dessert last, so that's why I'm starting with the lower tiers. Also, the tech tree ships I'm engaged with are all tier 7 and higher. I'm not actively engaging my CVs or subs so they'll likely be knocked out with a Festive Reward. So with a fleet of 300ish ships at tier 5 thru 10, it'll take me a bit but I like having a plan when I'm going about it. What about you guys?
MidnightPhoenix07 Posted December 3, 2024 Posted December 3, 2024 (edited) Same way as I did for the anniversary: Carriers, subs, and superships (if I have any of those this time) first, then clear out all of the slow battleships and lower tier tech tree ships. Then I end up just playing my current tech tree grinds and some other high tier premiums and tech tree t10s, until I build up enough bonus rewards to clear everything else anyway. Taylor3006 Posted December 3, 2024 Posted December 3, 2024 I think it is important to clear out the tech tree ships that have high service costs first, especially they do not have the bonus packages attached. But beyond that, just clear out the ships you do not enjoy playing and grind out the flakes with ships you do well in or enjoy playing. It is less like work doing that and more fun. For me that means start with tier 5 cruisers until they are played, then go to tier 6, etc. I enjoy playing cruisers 99% of the time so I focus using those until I get all the snowflakes are done. Like Midnight, I clear out submarines, carriers, superships, and slow BBs first. I only have most of those just for the snowflake rewards they represent and have little interest in playing them. All the tech tree ships of those types and most of the tech tree DDs, have no equipment mounted, zero or low point captains assigned and just sit in port. I keep some of the premium carriers equipped for spotting and killing plane missions. The Bearn and tier 6 German premium CV (forget the name) do well in those roles.
Darlith Posted December 3, 2024 Posted December 3, 2024 Started with things that would be most annoying to clear in one round of co-op. Carriers and Subs, then T10, T9, T8, next will be Battleships. Depending on how many more I get from doing star trek will probably do the rest of my TT ships and finish off with premiums.

For the most part I'm playing the same few ships over and over as I normally do (e.g. Schlieffen in Ops, Salem in Ops, Akizuki/Kitakaze in Ops, after resetting the line) and just collect the Festive Rewards each 1000 BXP (6 rewards in my case). IMHO having Operations for T10 has been a godsent. When using the Festive Rewards I'm going downwards from superships to T10 and T9, now on T8. The first thing I usually clear in a tier are subs and CVs. Edited December 3, 2024 by tangofan 3
Keyman Posted December 3, 2024 Posted December 3, 2024 Don't worry, nobody needs a Masterplan for this.
Ensign Cthulhu Posted December 3, 2024 Posted December 3, 2024 (edited) The current clearing system is God, and it is one of the best things WG ever did for this game. I play whatever I want, and every time I hit 1000 BXP I get to clear out six snowflakes (>500 ships in my port!). I just push auto-select and redeem and let the system handle it for me. The ships are arranged by tier anyway, so my T10s got taken first and so on down the line. They will all get done eventually and I will have earned something like 90,000 BXP in the process. The last time I did this, it took me about a week; certainly less than two. Gee, I wonder what else takes ~90,000 BXP to do in two weeks... Edited December 3, 2024 by Ensign Cthulhu 1
Itwastuesday Posted December 3, 2024 Posted December 3, 2024 I just played some and tokened some, and clear the rest sometime. Doesn't matter so much when you don't need to play the actual ships to get snowflakes.

Wrath_of_Deadguy Posted December 3, 2024 Posted December 3, 2024 Playing from the middle at T7 first, then I'll go to T6, then T8, and will probably not have to play T5, 9, or 10 at all since the overwhelming majority of my fleet lives in T6-T8. Reward stacks will be used to clear T10 first (to get more mega crates up front), then CVs and my handful of never-played subs, then elited (and mostly stripped) tech tree ships, and lastly premiums I don't particularly care for.
Tread_Head57 Posted December 3, 2024 Posted December 3, 2024 I just keep grinding whatever line I'm working on + whatever I feel like playing. This new system makes it so nice. At the end of the session, I just select whichever ships are on top and click off their flakes. 1
tocqueville8 Posted December 3, 2024 Posted December 3, 2024 Spoiler Spamming Libertad games to rank out in Silver, and then enjoying a nice selection of mid-tier premiums in Randoms. I'm going for coal first, in order to get another ship (Tulsa/Pommern/Black) before I open the Santa Crates, as a precaution.
mashed68 Posted December 3, 2024 Posted December 3, 2024 I'm using my festive rewards for flags and eco bonuses. Because regardless of normal of mega containers, thats all they've given me.
