PSA: Santa Crates Available In Recruiting Station For Community Tokens.

Per the title, there are a limited # (was 3 for me) of Santa crates available in the Recruiting Station for Community Tokens. They cost 3000 tokens each. The catch is this can only be done if you have a recruit as it gives a matching crate to them. It is in the Rewards section where you normally buy the Recruiting Station crates.

Note - I can't access the EU and SEA links to verify they are correct as WG blocks you out if not logged in, but I THINK the links are good. If not, you will have to navigate there on your own.

Thunder does this only work with recruits or can you give just normal people a crate? Wanna experiment? I have like 75k of Community tokens.

It only works with Recruits.

I just opened the crates I got and despite being the $1 crates with a low drop rate hit this (thought I had it already but guess not - I have so many ships I can't keep it straight anymore LOL)...

I really like the fact that WG created a mechanic for free santa crates for recruits. It's a nice gesture, with the "one for you, one for me" setup.

Sadly, I only have one recruit left playing, but he was very happy about the boxes.

PS: For me the small boxes are  a numbers game. I'm going for the 100 boxes guaranteed drop.

One of my recruits tried earlier to do it for me and it won't let them. However, it is the same one I sent them to so maybe that is why? It lets you go through all the steps but at the end it stops it and says nope. Why?

Okay, I didn't go through all the steps, I just saw that it offered the option to gift to your recruiter. So apparently that was a fake.

Might be a glitch but of note for me it said 3 available and for my recruit it doesn't show that

Since I don't have any recruits nor many community tokens, I'm out of luck for these Codes.

So I did go through the whole process and it worked for me. I got 3 Santa crates for 9k community tokens (and presumably my "recruiter" got the same).

 

Edit: 9k community tokens of course, not doubloons.
