So, which one’s calling your name?

Based on the verbiage and table provided in the news article, it looks like WG will only allow you to pick single ship from this list (as in you probably will not get away with T8 and T10).

From economic perspective alone, I am going with one of the T10s, and as it happens - I do not own any of these.  I don't feel like CV or the sub, so it will probably be between the other 3, I am sort of leaning toward Shima.  Not because I want a torp boat, but because it happens to have very low detect and fast speed, and you should be able to strongly affect the outcome of the games with that combo.  Ideas?  I primarily play solo randoms, and typically stay away from T10.  But I do enjoy T10 DDs for whatever reason, I like Marceau, Harugumo, F. Sherman, Daring.

No brainer for me, I'm going for Schlieffen!!

I've wanted this ship for a loooong time but gave up on the grind.

This event is, to me, like a gift from god!

Hmmm I wonder how it compares to Libertad, which I have with 21 point commander.  Libertad is the reason I was sort of "meh" about Schlieffen.

Huh? I thought that if you get 10,000 tokens you get both a Tier 8 and a Tier 10?

No. T8 if you got less than 7500, T10 otherwise.

Does not look like it when you read the news article carefully.  They even provided a table with what you get.

Leeuw for me. I have Schlieffen, Shimakaze, and Balao already, and Audacious fails to speak to me

Made it through the last chance phase... Audacious and Balao are the two available for me... neither "speaks" but Audacious has a campaign that it could help with if I feel like doing carrier stuff.  I don't ever feel like sub stuff even if I play one for a naval battle or snowflake.

Balao for me. It's either that or Leeuw, and Salmon to Balao is the longer grind by a long shot. 

I'm not sure whether we get these ships with all upgrades researched and fitted, but if we do, that's an additional saving since Balao has a set of torpedoes to research once she is purchased and Gouden has nothing extra.

I'm going to get Audacious, simply because I have all the other ones, it's a free T10 for reward purposes and I don't need to spend any credits or FXP to get it. I doubt that I will ever play it more than once.

I'll pick up the Shimakaze since I've stalled at the Kagero. I don't do carriers or subs so there's no point getting TT versions of them.

Well, it's gonna be something I have no intention of actually grinding for (or playing, once acquired), but which I might want to have in my port anyway because it's a real thing that existed and was historically significant. So... probably Balao, since she's the most expensive thing on the list that fits those criteria.

I have the Tier-8 ships from the list. 
I also have the Balao, the Schlieffen and the Shimakaze already in my Port.

I don't yet have the Audacious or the Gouden Leeuw.
Of the two, the Audacious is more appealing, to me.

I have everything available at T10, except the Balao.

That having been said, however, I lean toward grabbing the Shimakaze:

A line reset before taking the free Shima (even though it won’t be a 2X) puts lots of credits in the pocket, and provides a free 6000 research points.

I really have no interest in regrinding the T2-T9.

Lets see, I don't have any of those T10s yet so any is on the board. I like the Schlieffen line enough to happily grind that one, so skip. Same for the Shimakaze line, though that one might languish longer.

That leaves the Dutch cruiser, the sub, and the CV as ships I'm not excited for the grind towards. Of those the CV would cost me the most free XP to unlock as I have the T8 of the other two lines. So that is a mark in favor of the CV. Of those three lines I probably also enjoy the British CVs more than US subs or Dutch cruisers for co-op, though none are all that impressive to me. So in the end I'm likely to pick up the carrier, play it once, and then likely let it languish forever.

I already have Schlieffen and Gouden Leeuw, and I'm pretty close to unlocking Yugumo so I'm not as interested in getting Shimakaze when I'll unlock her sometime in the next few months anyway. That leaves either Balao or Audacious for me. Neither one is super appealing to me, but I'll probably end up picking the sub since I'm generally less interested in grinding a sub line than a carrier line.

Usually when you get a ship this way (from a code, mission, etc rather than grinding and unlocking in the tech tree), you get it with all modules researched and purchased as well. Just like if you get a ship in early access. You might have to go into the equipment tab and select the upgraded modules if they don't get selected automatically, but they should be unlocked and purchased when you get the ship.

Took "Gouden Leew" for my second account, so I can avoid to grind the Dutch cruiser line in total, which is great in itself. "Shimakaze" for the main account, and I bypassed the last grinding step.

My choice is Brennus, after I get the boat load of free XP because I have all the ships already. That will help me get my last line reset done I need for the research points.

Went with the Audacious for my NA account for previously stated reasons. Got the Balao on EU account since it has no subs yet and could use one for missions.

For my NA account, the Shimakaze and for my EU account, the Schlieffen.

Offering free T10s is & will be a disaster 😒. Does this matter anymore? Probably not. 😒
