Do you go to grind This year Dockyard Ship?

I don't go to grind it, ship to be honest it don't look interesting for me, I don't see that it is worth money and effort + time.  I already have Carl XIV Johan so I don't need similar ship + dockyard rewards getting worse. Battle pass have more better rewards for minimal effort and good price.

This Christmas I will be less time on PC. 😁😇

I'm pretty much in the same situation.  The Niord reward is not that exciting to me.  However, the T5 Kalmar does look like a fun little DD which should be easy to get just playing the game.

Probably not, just getting the T5. I gonna spend on the battle pass instead. That secondary Lyon on the second phase is looking interesting to me.

I'll have some spare time this holiday season (unusually), so I'll complete the dockyard on my main account. Probably just stick to freebies on the NA one though...

No, not this time, the Niord looks pretty weak and i already have the Karl XIV Johan, also not fond of the increased price and 99.000 Base XP mission at the end. I will try to get the Kalmar though, a free ship is always nice to have and getting her should be doable with just playing the game normally.

I'm in with boosters but I am not grinding just going to play as usual and then if I dont finish I will use my doubloons. I dont know if the ship is good or bad but every dockyard people say the ship is no good. I have 290 something ships and I am just trying to hit 300 lol.

Agreed, the battle pass plus any freebies that can be milked from the dockyard seems to be the sensible option. In a sense (if you know Spanish, that is), WG almost nailed the naming of the ship and the whole event this time. And yes, I know he's the Vanir of the sea, father of Freyr and Freyja, and married to the Jötunn Skadi.

I never, and I mean never got dockyard ship, because I decided against giving money to WG before they started dockyard events.  But I always completed all the stages you can do for free.  This year, this is the first ship I actually plan to get.  Two reasons: for one I finally decided to grind out some steel so I did pick up all rewards in ranked lately, and those doubloons add up. And secondly, that is T9 ship, and this is my preferred tier to play.  It is sad really, I picked up Ohio and Somme lately, and I practically don’t play Ohio because I prefer T9.

Honestly I am not sure, but for now I play ordinary ranked and we will see how far I will got with all that missions. Btw. rewards for dockyard without any Christmass crate (big and small) - I wasn't see something like that since I am in this game (until now).

Yes, the missions are harder and the rewards are better. But i play a lot so for me I will reach 18 anyway if I am not sick or something. I like the Camo and are from Sweden. It is fantasy but it does not matter. more ships with a my Chapman captain.

My goal is the DD at level 8 (is it?) and whatever I get after that. Not going to make a dedicated effort to finish the whole thing.

Looks like I'm in a minority of the ship looks cool and I'd go for it, but not with the final missions of 99,000 base XP and 30Mil credits. Too much time investment I just don't have.

I don't get many free doubloons since I don't pay real money to WG.  I get those from container drops and ranked and such.  In the past I collected enough for these three things (only once for each):

• unlock second progression line on the event pass
• purchased permanent bonus for one of the T10 ships
• 2 phases starting pack for dockyard event.

Yes, because I already have the Karl XIV Johan, love the ship, and would welcome a variation with Tirpitz guns, which is my all time favorite ship. I know about the gimped HP, I saw reviews showing that the fast reloading guns are consistent, some others showing the opposite, which is very Tirpitz-like, in one match they are consistent, in another they are completly unreasonable. Also, I prefer spending 5000 doubloons on a T9, instead of 2x3500 doubloons on T7, a tier I barely play. I’ve checked the grind, and the last two weeks have this extreme baseXP mission, meaning that I either have to pay 3000 doubloons more, or play regularly for two weeks, both are doable. The end price would be 9000 doubloons, which is still fine for a (not top, but above average) dockyard ship. Also it depends on what kind of ship do you prefer to play. I’m a big fan of Tirpitz-like ships with torps, while some other guys preferring to play gunboat DDs, or light cruisers might find this ship withou appeal.

PS: I’ll also spend time with my family, and spend time on my other hobbies. The real grind is the last two weeks, when the festivity is over, and it’s only a matter of choice to prioritize warships for two weeks as your main leisure time activity.

I'm not mad keen on the Niord and I really wasn't going to do it. If I'm near the end anyway I might put on an extra burst of effort, but quite frankly the Teng She (which I already have) and the Lugdunum look like more fun and much more worth my dubs.

I will maintain, even reduce, my usual time allotted for playing the game, this month and the next. Lots of family and social activities to attend to, on top of professional responsibilities. If I am asked if I will double my efforts for this Dockyard, then my answer would be a most definite 'no'. I will get what I will get without spending.

Last year's Santa Crates gave me the Karl XIV Johan (along with Smaland, GC, Missouri, Kron, and a few more ships), and I have not even played the Karl yet, in any mode. LOL!
