Christmas port

I have to say I really like the Christmas port I am so enjoying decorating the tree and the town. The Christmas port is alway the best time of the year I just love going in there and looking around. Cant wait untill I get it all done I think it will look great. Really a great job as usually be the graphics team for WG thanks it gets me into the Christmas season +1.

Aye, it's pretty decent. My only whinge (as always) is that WG should give us the option to switch off the crates getting/opening graphics, but that's not unique to the Xmas port. First World Problems...

Yes the carousel is quite alright a couple of times, but I am already irritated when I collect the daily containers. Just a simple toggle on/off.

Yeah it gets old, fast. I plan on just collecting my daily crates once after I earn all three, and then open everything at once to minimize the time wasted watching the carousel dance around....

It's pretty fun.

My minor gripe, aside from the already mentioned carousel, is how hard it is to see the ship you are outfitting for battle.

There should be a icon you can click, to get a closer view of your ship.

I just changed my port back to what I like (Philippines) and when I am done playing for the day, switch over to decorate the tree with whatever I got. Then before logging off, I switch her back to the PI port.

Also I think the ship looks great when your in port lookin at it it's postioned perfectly looks cool.

i'm having groundhog day moments because of it -

i keep switching back to ocean, but keep ending up in nardshaven, or wherever

it's like i keep going out on benders and waking up in a strange city with no idea how i got there

 

now where are my clothes?

Is there any way to shorten that hideously long Xmas video 'inanity' intro load in?

I change port to ocean just as you do here.

Just hit 'esc' and it goes to the loading screen.

So far, the game opening video has not bored or annoyed me. Just chilling and enjoying the eye candy on screen.

Fully agree the crate opening animation is annoying.

Christmas port is definitely one of the best things WG done in a long while, it looks amazing and really brings that festive feeling. I hope they keep on building on this for the other seasons as well.

Fully agree the crate opening animation is annoying. 

If you go to the view all containers screen & open them from there (either 1 at a time or all at once) the carousel part gets skipped.

It doesn't cancel out the collecting containers graphics...but it bypasses the opening containers graphics.

That damned button (in fact you don't actually have to directly hit the button...the whole ship area underneath it triggers it [& me] too)...

I keep accidently clicking on it & getting taken to the ship screen & having to scroll to the damned upper left corner of the screen to exit out of it...

 

That's getting downright annoying.

I don't know what I feel exactly for this year port but last year Christmas port been best for me.

I don't go to grab this year Dockyard ship it don't look interesting for me and worth money and effort I already have Carl XIV Johan so I don't need similar ship + dockyard rewards getting worse. Battle pass have more better rewards for minimal effort and good price.

This Christmas I will be less time on PC. 😁😇

I admit I'm enjoying the Christmas Port of 2024.

The opening animation (when we start the game) is nice, too.
The lighthouse lamp shining through the paper lighthouse from the pop-up book was a nice touch.

Good on'ya World of Warships.  Art & Video Department kicking-aft again.  🙂
