SoshiSone Posted November 28, 2024 Posted November 28, 2024 (edited) This is part 2 in a three part series. Tallin lights me up, which I was expecting. But as his health dwindled, I decided pushing into his 12km radar range was a good trade to maintain contact. I didn’t think there would be enough time for much damage to come my way. Spoiler And sure enough. Brand (one of the BBs backing up my backup) got him. Spoiler A team effort as Nap and Mosk put a good bit of damage on him before Brand got the kill shot. [Aside…some inside baseball analysis…I started shooting at the Tallin when he radar’d me. As soon as he died, my detect went silent…and my guns were still full bloom. That meant there were no reds within my bloom ring, which extends halfway into the red cap]. Now, on to the cap. Two red ships realize their flank has collapsed and are moving back to protect the cap. Our DD is running spotting in the middle, and I’m pushing forward with Nap and Mosk in trail. Spoiler Time for more smoke. Although DD is providing mid spots, I continue to move forward to ensure my Nap and Mosk have continued spotting. Not to mention getting in the cap is a net better than my pea shooters. Again, this is how DDs play when they smoke and spot. A Nap and Mosk, in smoke, can rain a lot of deadly fire and remain undetected. Another illustration of the Tiger utility. Give those DPM monsters the screen while my little Tiger just churns along in silence. Spoiler Starting the cap. Spoiler My friendly cruisers finish off the Mino (which was a radar Mino and could have given me a bad day) and continue their destruction of other reds. I pop some more smoke for their use if they need it. Spoiler Edited November 28, 2024 by SoshiSone 3
