WildWind84 Posted November 28, 2024 Posted November 28, 2024 Hi, I just log in game and Christmass port is here, dockyard is here, event pass is here, steel will is here, but - WHERE ARE SNOWFLAKES?!?! 🤨
Darlith Posted November 28, 2024 Posted November 28, 2024 As stated in the patch article on the site under the Wonders of the Arctic section which deals with the winter stuff. Festive rewards start Dec 1st. https://worldofwarships.com/en/news/game-updates/update-1311-holiday-celebrations/ 4

Scorpion_Raider37 Posted November 29, 2024 Posted November 29, 2024 Yeah!! Don't be such a snowflake. 🫣 1 5
Verblonde Posted November 29, 2024 Posted November 29, 2024 Presumably, the first day of snowflakes is one of the busier days for the game? If that's the case, giving it a few days prior to make sure everything else in the new patch is working properly is sensible - reduces the chances of any epic banana-skins... 4

Yet the first day of snowflakes happens during a weekend, so if there was a banana skin, plenty of people wouldn't be amused and the response time for mitigation might be slightly off. It's true it wouldn't be an epic one, though, and there shouldn't be any since snowflakes are an already well established element of the game. Salute.
Nevermore135 Posted November 29, 2024 Posted November 29, 2024 The Black Friday event ends at the same time the Christmas/New Years snowflake event begins, Santa crates become available in the shop, the rewards for the long-running Expedition to the North Pole event drop, and the Advent Calendar/new set of login bonuses become active. We usually don’t have US Thanksgiving/Black Friday occur so late in November and thus overlap with the NY/Christmas patch. It looks like the devs wanted some kind of clean break date (or at least as good of one as reasonably possible) between the two events, and chose Dec 1st as a good day to do so. 3

Taylor3006 Posted November 29, 2024 Posted November 29, 2024 Gotta admit, I really want go get at those snowflakes myself. Been grinding up and buying new tech tree ships for the past few months and have drained my credits and FXP. I want to see the goodies that I will get after all that "work". 3

For the calender I had to exit game and reenter for it to come back. https://worldofwarships.com/en/news/sales-and-events/new-years-gift-claim-your-ship/
