Here's an account of an incident that took place during WW2 in 1943. The USS Iowa, traveling in convoy to North Africa, was almost torpedoed by an escorting US Navy destroyer William D. Porter.

Uhm... I had never known that Szent István took part in the Battle of Okinawa before...
