Warship Whaling - Plan Your Christmas Event Rewards

Very interesting, @HogHammer, the link text as well...

The site is run by Rukenshia (Discord: Rukenshia). They are not affiliated with Wargaming. This is what I see once I've logged in:

image.thumb.png.6ae9fce9a47affb2bf513746bd91eaea.png

Santa certificates, Steel, Coal, Santa Mega gift containers... it's all there.

It also shows what the containers give, and lets you simulate a pull:

Orange boxes above by me cos I guess no-one wants to know what I get...But if you really wanna..

Spoiler

I've already run my Christmas numbers manually and I know what I'm getting, but I should redo them because I have a couple new T10s in port and a few other things since then.

Frankly, I'd almost be happier with every single Mega crate being an Elite Commander XP drop than with every one being a ship.

I'm also not happy logging in with my WG details on a non-WG site. That sort of thing is how you get hacked if things go belly-up. WG can at least attempt to restore your stuff if they get hacked directly because then it's on them, but having fed your details to a third party means they can say you were warned and now you suffer.

I don't need to plan it any better than this.

It's a bad name for the website, but if you have a well-developed fleet with lots of T10 ships you can get lots of santa boxes and with a very large fleet that kept its lower tier ships you can get lots of coal and steel to spend on things.

WG's API interface does not provide sensitive data to the external site. The data they get access to is the same as other services receive that use the API. Here is what they (the "Service") get (as seen on WG's linking page):

Confirm Request

To use this service, confirm your Wargaming.net ID.

Service will have access to your personal data including:

  • user name;
  • amount of gold, doubloons, credits and free experience;
  • premium account expiration date;
  • availability of associated phone number;
  • friend list and groups of contacts;
  • restricted clan information;
  • list of player's vehicles including rented;
  • details on destroyed vehicles;
  • personal missions progress and available personal reserves in World of Tanks.

This is mine :

This is without the whole Haru line, +the chosen T10 from North Pole event, + i can buy another 2 T10 from RB and Steel, then i'm halfway to Zao, Yodo and Cassard. Probably i can get up to 60 T10 at the end of this event, especially with Assymetric battles coming back.

I get a bunch of satan from fleet. I don't plan on buying anything because I don't want anything.

I do not plan at all. The revised mechanics for 'deflowering' ships has been given a huge quality of life improvement, and it is enough for me to take a screenshot of my resources when 13.11 arrives, and another when 14.00 arrives.

As far as the free Santa Mega containers I'll get from converting New Year's Certificates, I have zero expectations. I already have some of the ships that I care about, and ironically, majority of these premiums that I got from Santa containers I haven't played that much because I often find comfort and fun using tech tree ships such Des Moines, Schlieffen, St. Vincent, Libertad, Cleveland, etc.

I check from time to time to see how progress is going and I'll be taking the T10s for the boxes first to be done with the suspense, but yes, the new mechanism is one of WG's better ideas by a VERY long margin.

I have so many ships, including all the banned ones I ever dreamed of owning (in the case of the Kamikazes, one was enough to be representative of the three), that getting any more has become an exercise in curiosity. By and large, the random ships which have popped out of those boxes have tended to be ones I find pleasing or interesting, or which the playerbase deems valuable; and sometimes I look at the ones on the list I don't have and couldn't care less about, and say "I'm surprised RNGesus hasn't given me that one yet".

While reserving the right to differ with you on which ships I consider best, there's no denying that WG has given us some pretty amazing tech-tree offerings, especially when they're so good they dominate the ban lists for KOTS. Des Moines is one of the oldest, but impressively it remains one of the most solid and reliable choices in any game mode. The same can be said for Cleveland, which apart from the radar and slot 5 upgrade module was little changed when it moved up two tiers and still remains good.

I’ll get 9 free mega containers between my snowflakes and the battle passes. I only have 197 ships, so the odds of a ship I actually want (Smaland/Musashi/ Georgia/Thunderer/Smolensk) are too low to bother buying any more containers.

Won't take long to clear those flakes. Asymmetric battles, Star Trek operation, regular operations. It will be a piece of cake, a mere trifle in fact. I did clear the anniversary flakes in a mere week after all (due to the addition of T10 operations).

It's a hard pass for me as well...  No way I'm sharing data.  This whole seasonal shtick just gets old.....  Same thing, same results and the same thing:  costs money....

I just finished a big project 45 days ahead of schedule and 20% under budget. With the bonus I made from that I’ll be buying the 20 mega crates bundles untill I get Smalland.

Patch goes live today (for asia and eu) North pole and Advent calendar go live 1 December. NA is live with the patch already. You can log in and see if the flakes are already attached.
