Snargfargle Posted November 19, 2024 Posted November 19, 2024 If that doesn't work, try changing your DNS to the Google public DNS server. Win 10: Win 11: 1

This may or may not work. Local ISPs may have trouble with their DNS servers being down when the Google servers are up and running. Local servers are generally faster to access, however, as they are closer.
tm63au Posted November 19, 2024 Author Posted November 19, 2024 could this have anything to do with not unifying accounts I have an account of the SEA server which I never use ? I never downloaded the game to that server ? its just an account but I have not gotten around to unifying them problem I cant get into dam support to ask because I cant get the web site up
I_cant_Swim_ Posted November 19, 2024 Posted November 19, 2024 @tm63au No. Because then I'd have the same issue, as I've also got various unlinked accounts. If you're behind a VPN, switch it off for a moment and see if restarting your browser helps while it's down. 1 1

Is this the case? Did you change your DNS server to Google's? Did you reboot your router? If you did, like was just said, turn off any VPN. Then, clear your browser caches. If you use a browser other than Edge, make sure to open Edge and clear its cache too. Or, you can use CCleaner to do all this for you. Also, do this. Open the command prompt again and type in ping login1.worldofwarships.com Can the site be reached? If you are trying to reach a non-NA WOWS server please let us know. https://www.ccleaner.com/ Edited November 19, 2024 by Snargfargle 1

Snargfargle Posted November 19, 2024 Posted November 19, 2024 Windows 7?! How are you even able to connect to the Internet without getting infected by malware? Run the ESET online scanner and see if it detects any malware on your system. I'm about at the end of my expertise here but we have a networking technician over at TSF that might be able to help you. There are a few other things we could try but a gaming forum isn't the right venue for advanced network solutions. The last thing I'm going to suggest here is a game file check and repair via the WG Game Center. That's why I directed the OP to TSF. I'm a technician/moderator over there but my forte is more on the hardware side of things. However, there are a couple of good networking specialists that probably could identify the problem. I actually prefer it to Win11. No infection (I use protection) but apps started to disavow it, like Chrome. IME that's not the problem - it's the Domain Name Server as you suggest which is usually a function of the ISP. Re-directing to Google is a good idea after resetting everything, especially the IP lease. 3
