SoshiSone Posted November 16 Posted November 16 Well, every person on my team got a comp; never done that before in Random. And it was more than just a trophy. They all actually played very well. It was an attrition match and from what I could see, the team played it well in a complementary fashion. I must admit when I saw the two red GC's divisioned at the start, I was worried a bit and played a little (but not too much) on the coderivative side the first half of the game. 5
SureBridge Posted November 16 Posted November 16 It's always good when you have a competitive match: do you find that this happens more in low tier or high tier play? T9/10 has not been "high quality", but I have found that T8 has been somewhat better, perhaps because the "PTW" folks in superships don't match down that low, and I've been mid or top tier more than half the time, while playing T9's I am generally bottom tier. 1
Aethervox Posted November 16 Posted November 16 I do compliment players on both teams who I consider to have played well. 3 hours ago, SoshiSone said: every person on my team got a comp Yes, there are those rare battles where all play well & they are a real treat. Thank-you, SoshiSone, for reminding me of these gems 😄

Another way to term a really 'close' battle, one where the survivor(s) barely have any Hit Points left. You show a battle where half your team survives. This is more indicative of a one sided battle (whatever the reason{s} behind that).

T8 is my sweet spot. But I'll run anything from T5 to T11 depending on how I feel at the time. One reason I like T8 is the you get anything from T6 to T10 which offers a massive level of variety and play style even with the same ship. I'd say the distribution of competitive play is about the same throughout the tiers. The difference is where I feel like I contribute the most. I feel like I am a good T5 through T8 player in terms of ships skills. That allows me to better understand if someone is playing well or not. My skills at T9 to T11 are weak. Hence, my ability to determine how well the players are playing is limited to my skill vision. 1

This was a usual occurrence int the game 4-5 years ago. Both teams played really well and both team showed skill and it wasn't that unusual that you comped many on both teams. Nowadays I usually run out of reports after playing for 1-2 hours and I randomly give out a comp, what happened? 1
