DevStrike! supports K9s for Warriors

DevStrike! aims to support charities and rehabilitation programs for military veterans, museums and foundations that preserve historical artifacts and personal stories from the Great War onwards. Servicemen and women all over the world sign up to protect their countries and peoples and the freedoms we all enjoy, in times of conflict have risked and will continue to risk their lives for us. By raising awareness of said organizations, DevStrike! wishes to thank these brave servicemen and women, to help them where we can, and to remember and honor their sacrifices.

K9s for Warriors

Founded in 2011, K9s for Warriors provides highly-trained service dogs to military veterans suffering from PTSD, psychological issues, and traumatic injuries. Provision of these animals fosters healing in veterans, allowing them to recover and rebuild their lives.
The strategy works. A study published by Purdue University found that veterans benefited from owning a service dog through reduced PTSD symptoms, less anxiety, anger,  and depression, and better social functioning. To date, hundreds of veterans have received a service dog from K9s for Warriors1.
In a current community fundraiser, which is also being sponsored by Wargaming, K9s for Warriors is attempting to raise 20,000 USD for their program. DevStrike! supports this initiative wholeheartedly, and encourages our members to assist in any way they can, through a donation or by raising awareness of the program.
DevStrike! Community members have already donated over 2,500 USD to the program - join us in donating more!

Looks like we would be donating under the World of Warships recipient category.
There isn't a DevStrike recipient or pass-through campaign set-up, yet.

Oh well.  I donated.  🙂

Yes, unfortunately the DevStrike organizational structure is still not capable of handling donations, but we thought it more important to raise awareness of such charities asap.

Thanks for donating @Wolfswetpaws

I believe this is a tag for Facebook for the upload of dog pictures.
