It seems that either there is a concerted effort by WG to just mess up COOP or there is something wrong with the way that ships and spawns are being set up. This post has been brewing for some time as there seems to have been a change in how the server places ships in spawns. In the last month I am seeing way more deviation from the 3,3,3 spawn that ultimately is the fairest, to the point were 3,3,3 is becoming a rarity. I don't know if this is a high tier phenomenon as I don't play lower tiers too often but it is becoming very annoying. With the far flung spawns that subs brought in there is a higher chance that your opponents on your spawn just take off to the next cap or indeed to the far cap, leaving you with little target choice. If you're in a 2 ship or even 1 ship spawn then this can leave you with absolutely nothing to shoot at. If you're in one of the slower BBs, Vermont you know who I'm looking at, well then good luck. Divisions can really mess it up as well, there seems to be some rule that divs must be spawned together, in COOP given the length of the game that really is nonsensical. All that is achieved there is that the division of ships to the spawns is messed up, and god forbid you get a 3 man div using the same class of ships. I have experienced being in a spawn with three Marceaus in a div, what they were thinking I don't know but they didn't achieve much, not much fun had by anyone in that game.

Are you seeing the same thing or is my spawn luck just garbage?

I think you could benfit from seeing the positives of the situation.

For example, if I sail my Kansas in a Co-op match, then I can enjoy a 9 course meal while the main-guns reload.
A luxurious experience which is worth savoring.  🙂

Sailing in Co-op isn't perfect.  And, yeah, sailing a fast ship is preferable to sailing a slow ship (in Co-op).
You, the player, get to decide which ship to play and in which game mode you select before hitting the "BATTLE" button.

Yep, however, my point is that it seems to be getting worse.

I keep trying to get answers from WG on their YT videos and Twitch streams answers to these question:

Quote

Can you make a new "How it works" for map spawning? I would like to know the WG game mechanics behind opening spawn selection before the battle starts.  For example, why are ships map spawned are so close to other team mates?

Why are DD's, CA's, or BB's not balanced (port or starboard) on spawn deployment? It appears they are all slanted in their deployment instead of spread out on the map for spawn deployment.

I would like to know why the slowest ship in matches is most of the time at the edge of the map. It's like WG has some weird perverted craving to cause schadenfreude.

Now I have raw data that I have been collecting for the past three years with my clan mates in a division.  I see the following for a division of three:

Left: 95

Center: 319

Right: 140

The only times we get assigned usually left or right is because we have different ship class such as BB, CA, & DD or BB, DD, & DD, etc. Its not the same spot all the time. However if we all go with three BB's for example, we are in the center. I really would like to know how Wargaming plans their spawns.

I can understand a div being spawned in the same place in a Random game but it really isn't necessary in COOP, and to be honest kinda skews the game.

Honestly I rarely see a 3 3 3 spawn in coop, even a couple of years ago it was rare to see.  I used to spawn all by myself way out on a flank which hasn't happened in a while.
