World of Warships Account System Update | World of Warships

On October 22, 2024, we’re (WG) introducing a new system to help players manage their accounts. This new functionality will first allow players with multiple accounts across different regions to use a single set of credentials to log in to all of their Wargaming Accounts. This is the first step of the planned changes that will provide our development team greater flexibility for future technical improvements.

It's important to note that these changes only affect account management, and they won’t provide any regional crossplay functionality. We can assure you that they won’t affect any of your accounts’ in-game progress. Players who don’t have multiple Wargaming Accounts will not see any notable changes or messaging regarding the integration of this system.

The upcoming changes to our account system will only affect accounts that meet all the following criteria:

  • Accounts that share one or more of the same credentials (i.e., email, phone, linked social networks)
  • Are registered in different regions (e.g., Account #1 is in NA and Account #2 is in the EU)

Accounts that meet the above criteria will be considered "in conflict," and you’ll be prompted to resolve this conflict in one of two ways: combining the accounts under the same credentials or changing the credentials to be unique for the impacted accounts. For example, if you have accounts in the EU and NA regions registered under the same email address, these accounts will be considered in conflict, and you can follow the on-screen instructions to resolve the situation.

Interesting find on FAQ's...

WHY AM I FACING AN ACCOUNTS CONFLICT?
Wargaming is working to unite the audiences of different servers and will provide players with the opportunity to enjoy our games as one community. As a result, starting in October 2024, we will introduce a system that allows players to combine their Wargaming accounts from different Wargaming servers into one. Players will be able to manage all their Wargaming accounts from one place and use the same credentials to log in to any of their Wargaming accounts.

Please keep in mind that while this system allows you to combine your Wargaming accounts under one set of credentials, each account will continue to operate within its respective server environment.

In this perspective, an account conflict occurs when two or more of your Wargaming accounts from different servers share the same login credentials (e.g., email address or social network profile). This conflict needs to be resolved to ensure each Wargaming account remains accessible and manageable.

I think I'm going to have a 'conflict' but I'm unclear how to combine the two usernames in order to resolve it.  Will I need to abandon one of the usernames?

It's really unclear to me. I have eight accounts (two of which are KOTS) on both NA and EU servers. Each is set up with different email accounts, so I believe I'm good to go. Based on what I'm reading, I assume I could consolidate if I desire under one email.

That's what puzzled me too, because as I understand it, it's been a Wargaming requirement to specifically use a separate and distinct email address for every registered account. Unless they've changed that requirement somewhere along the way.

Also, they didn't specify that the same username by itself would be a problem if I understood correctly what you posted above.

I'm using the same email account for both servers but different usernames.

If I understand the newsflash, you have a conflict.  But you should be able to resolve this conflict through your account manager.

If I read the quoted material correctly....

Example:  Player #1 has two accounts.  One is NA region.  One is EU region.  Player uses two different log-in credentials (different user-name, different e-mail).
This is not "in conflict".

Example:  Player #1 has two acounts (as above ^^^^).  Player uses one email and/or each account has the same user-name.
These accounts would be "in conflict".

I don't know the exact process for resolving the "conflict".
But, the quoted material provided by @HogHammer indicates that WG/WOWs will communicate with "in conflict" players and provide a process involving some choices.

I wonder if this will affect the Public Test Server, eventually?

Eight accounts! Going the whole Hog, so to speak.

I only have a more modest five accounts.

Same account, but are the email addresses same as well? If you are using an account alias, I don't think WG can detect that as being the same account.

I think WG conflict problem is that I'm using the same email address for both username 'accounts' where each has a different password.

So, I clicked on the pencil thing next to my username.....

This screen popped up...

I decided to Link accounts... despite the warning about the downside of linking accounts is they are deleted together

This is where you get to use the same password for both accounts.  My password is **********, at least that's what is shown when I think I typed it in correctly.

Voila! Conflict resolved.

@Justin_Simpleton

Hmm.. okay. When I was rolling my accounts WG stated the same address cannot be linked to two accounts.

WGC showed me a yellow warning triangle for ASIA account. I clicked on the link WGC gave me and it took me to a missing page.... No way to figure out what the issue was. No warning was shown for my EU account.

On the same server.

Now, the servers will search for duplications on themselves, but also check with the other servers (I am guessing)?

Had the same alert on my WGC ... it took me to the account management page but I don't see any alerts there.

Bear in mind I only have one WG account
